We just got another system on go and live for the Amiga legend Battle Squadron, now made available for MorphOS

Fabien Coeurjoly has released version 1.22 of his Odyssey Web Browser. You can download it from:

Changes:

• Fixed the slowness issue with topsites, when adblock was enabled. In that case, the generated screenshot data: URI (which is basically the screenshot raw data encoded as base64) was matched against the rules in adblock, which was obviously very slow.
• For security reasons, file:/// URL couldn't be accessed from topsites. Fixed as well.

PciTool is a program showing the parameters installed PCI cards underwent a complete renovation. In version 3.0 has been completely rewritten version - remove the library supports openpci.library and add - native version for MorphOS - which is a library pcix.library. For this reason - the new version is only available in a version for computers running the MorphOS system.

The MorphOS development team is proud to announce the public release of MorphOS 3.4, which introduces faster R300 graphics drivers, improved video playback on G5-based systems, support for non-native display resolutions on various PowerBooks, screen blanker password protection, and numerous bug fixes and other improvements. AmiCamp, the new event for all the Greek Amiga and MorphOS Users, will take place in Athens - Greece on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 of December. Hi folks, The Recursion 2014 Computer Science Fair will take place on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 February 2014 at King Edward Vi School, Stratford-upon-Avon, England. Friday will be dedicated to promoting Computer Science and related industries to students as degree and career options. Saturday will be a fun-packed day, open to the public. In addition to stands from industry leaders such as IBM and Blitz Games Studio, there will be a MASSIVE area dedicated to retro and class computing, with user-groups from all the key players and favourite old-timers, from Amiga through to Oric and on to ZX81.

It's time for yet a new release of SnapIT. Not so many direct MorphOS-related changes this time, but some minor fixes and corrections.

1. Updated JPEG/PNG save routines.
2. Filtered out backdrop windows to avoid crashes.
3. Fix to erase old preview data when new one is overlapping.
4. New icon set from Thomas Blatt (found in icons-drawer).

The beta version 26 of DigiBooster 3 for MorphOS, AmigaOS 4 and AmigaOS 3 was published online. Since it is probably one of the last beta versions before the final release, we invite every user to test and report the version as detailed as possible and write all bug reports directly to the DigiBooster support forum. Beta 26 of DigiBooster 3 has all the key features in place and will be the basis of the public release of the program planned in 2014. Major features added since latest public beta 22 are:

Yet another MorphOS.pl bounty is set for implementing a PowerPC code generator for Webkit, allowing it to compile JavaScript into native PowerPC code which in the end results in JavaScript executing faster (common called JIT JS). When bounty will be finished, this code will be implemented in the latest available version of Odyssey Web Browser. The bounty minimal sum is set to 800 €, estimated timeframe is 60 days since minimal bounty sum will be collected. Bounty taker is Mark „BigFoot” Olsen. You can participate in this bounty here.

MorphOS.pl is happy to anounce another bounty. This time bounty is for Despotify port for MorphOS. What is Despotify? It's an open source Spotify client. Disadventages of this software are: working in text-mode only and requirement of premium account at Spotify service. Bounty taker is Szilárd „BSzili” Biró and the minimum amount is set to 100 euros. You can contribute to that bounty here. We are also glad to finalize two game bounties: Return to the Roots and OpenXCOM ports. We would like to say big thank you to all the donors and to bounty developers.

New program

ZoomIT.pobj v1.0 - (MorphOS 3.2+) ZoomIT.pobj is a small panel object created for MorphOS 3.2 or later.

Available to download the new version of Virtual Amiga Multimedia Player or V.A.M.P. a multimedia player programmed with Hollywood that plays movies, songs, sounds, show pictures. This new version has the next improvements:

1. Compiled with the lastest Hollywood 5.3.
2. Suppressed the text message with the % of volume bar.
3. Fixed the bug that was preventing the repeating the multimedia file.
4. Again available the autoplay video and song when you have loaded the file.
5. Corrected the rewind/forward video&song time with the mouse wheel, now it is second to second.
6. Improvement the player GUI, new button Mute OFF for the option Mute ON/OFF.

Available to Amiga OS4, MorphOS and Amiga 68k with graphic card, V.A.M.P. needs the Hollywood plugins and datatypes.
