Due to popular request, there is now an official Hollywood portal online at http://www.hollywood-mal.com (MAL standing for <span style="font-weight: bold;">Multimedia application layer</span>). The portal contains everything you need to know about Hollywood and Hollywood Designer (which is exclusively available for Amiga systems!), screenshots and references, you can purchase Hollywood and Hollywood Designer at the portal, and most importantly, there is finally an official Hollywood forum to reduce the traffic on our mailing list a little. Feel free to stop by, have a look, and join the forums!

Amigan Software are proud to announce the availability of the Signetics-based machines multi-emulator AmiArcadia 13.02 for MorphOS. The previous MorphOS release was the now very obsolete V4.81. Thanks to Stefan Haubenthal for undertaking the port.

Improvements in V13.02 as compared to V4.81 are far too numerous to list, but include emulation of PIPBUG-based machines, Signetics Instructor 50, Central Data 2650, Astro Wars, Galaxia, Malzak 1 & 2 and Chaos 2, as well as support for the French, German, Italian and Russian languages.

Amiga-Look.org recreated from the scratch. We changed the CMS to Drupal and we now made a totally new website. We moved to a faster web server.

For those who don't know anything about amiga-look.org, it is a website for the AmigaOS, MorphOS and Aros artworks that a lot of people create. The main idea is to gather all this content into one web site, so that it could be really easy for someone to find something that he needs. Inside amiga-look.org you will find screenshots, icons, themes and many other things that you would like to use and make your workbench look better.

Also, everyone can make his own account and upload his own artworks. And we can support him with our voting system, and say how much we like it with comments.

So come on you guys, upload your icons, wallpapers, themes and lets make a websites that has them all gathered.

A test version of Blender 2.50 alpha0 for MorphOS is now available for download:
http://www.yomgui.fr/blender/blender-2.5alpha0-test-mos.lha

The required installation procedure is fortunately quite simple. It is a standalone archive. You just need to uncompress the content to your harddisk and run the application.

Do not hesitate to try it out, experiment and please provide feedback to the developer.

The "Amiga Games List" ( http://obligement.free.fr/articles/listejeuxamiga.php ), maintained by David Brunet since april 1991 has been updated in its 39th edition. The total now reach 11192 entries distributed as follows: 10143 games | 887 data disks or extensions | 127 games or level editors | 35 interpreters.

There are now <span style="font-style: italic;">307 native MorphOS</span> games. This 39th edition has declined since the vast majority of interpreted games (platform independent games playable via an interpreter) were removed in order to keep only pure "Amiga" games. In addition, the games created in 2009 have been added. The list recognize now also the "Creative Commons" license and the "AmiBlitz" programming language.

Airsoft Softwair are very proud to annouce the immediate availability of Hollywood 4.5 (Codename: Snowflake). This is a huge update which brings along many new features and general improvements over Hollywood 4.0. In this update we paid special attention to all the wishes that reached us from the ever growing Hollywood community. We carefully listened to all these requests and tried to realize as many wishes as possible.

Among the countless new features in Hollywood 4.5 is the ability to open multiple windows with Hollywood (scripts are no longer limited to a single window!), fonts can be embedded into executables (it's no longer necessary to install them first), windows can use alpha channel transparency, hardware accelerated transition effects (only on AmigaOS 4.1 and MorphOS 2), full clipboard support, load and save GIF animations, save AVI videos, drag' n' drop support, and much much more.

The Aminet team contacted Paolo "The Alien" Cattani and were granted the permission to host and redistribute the MorphOS version of Virtual Grand Prix 2.

If you enjoy this game, please consider making a Paypal donation to: donations@virtualgrandprix2.com

When discussing the Aminet upload with the Aminet team, Mr. Cattani pointed out that even a MorphOS port of VGP3 might be considered, but that he's not promising anything and that "there are some technical issues about that".

For high resolution textures that significantly improve the looks of Virtual Grand Prix 2, have a look at Jason Frabotta's VGPHD project: http://www.siniscope.com/vgphd/

Origyn Web Browser v1.6.1 (now includes Web Inspector)Fabien Coeurjoly has just released version 1.6.1 of his port of the Origyn Web Browser which now includes a very powerful web profiling and debugging tool. The included changes are as follows:

1. Enabled WebInspector (Firebug-like). WebInspector allows browsing resources/scripts, profiling, debugging... It can be enabled with: "setenv OWB_ENABLE_INSPECTOR 1". When enabled, a new "inspect element" entry is added to webview contextmenus that opens the tool. Here's what it looks like: http://fabportnawak.free.fr/inspector.png

2. Avoid conflicts between regular context menus and javascript contextmenus.
3. Updated russian, swedish and czech locales.
4. Added a lame workaround in javascript interpreter that caused regressions in google maps.
5. Fixed a possible crash with priority popups in MLdonkey HTML interface.

Origyn Web Browser 1.6 and Flash Plug-In (swfdec)Fabien Coeurjoly has just released version 1.6 of his port of OWB. He has also released the first public version of a compatible Flash plug-in (swfdec).

Translators: Please update your translations, the developer will supply the locale archive separately.

Note: There's a known regression since r1106 (or so): maps.google.* is slightly broken (some options / buttons don't have any effect). It is a generic issue in WebKit when JIT is disabled, and it was reported to their bugtracker. Fabien will provide a new version when this is fixed.

Ralph Schmidt announced in the MorphZone forums that MorphOS will soon include support for Apple's PowerMac G4 range of computers. While they are not as compact and portable as Mac Minis, they are often more affordable (compared to 1.5 Ghz Mac Mini models), can be faster (1.8 Ghz G4) and offer far superior expandability options to all power users who need them.
