After almost a year of its original release, the first major update has been finally released!

Though most aspects have been further improved, we took extra care on the "Data Disks" section and now, for the first time in the Amiga scene ever, we are offering the complete experience for all World and Euro cups: select your Team directly from the application's menu and relive or rewrite golden moments of football history with historical accurate teams, groups and rules, thus bringing RASTP on par with SWOS 2020 DIY DLC on the PC!

The MorphOS development team is proud to announce the immediate availability of MorphOS 3.17. This release includes numerous important performance, stability and security improvements. X5000 hardware support was improved to handle two Radeon cards and the HDD activity LED. Several text layout and rendering issues have been fixed in MUI.

Monotype/Linotype (the company I work for) has just released a free Font Value Pack for all MorphOS/AmigaOS operating systems. You can find it here:

All you need to do is to "buy" it (for 0 USD/EUR) and then download it. The package contains a wide variety of typefaces - I created this package with the intent of giving MorphOS more options when it comes to creating basically anything. I believe this selection should give us the ability to cover most typographic needs.

Wayfarer 3.2 is now available!

The new version introduces support for WOFF/WOFF2 fonts, improves support for ligatures and fixes a few minor quirks.

Wayfarer 3.0, based on the WebKitGTK 2.34.6 is now available for download from wayfarer.icu.

In addition to updating the WebKit core, this version includes the following changes:

- Added a Media menu with playback controls hotkeys
- Added cookie/cache cleaning menu options
- Password save requester pops up on more sites now
- No longer writes partial files into the Curl cache
- Launcher removes PROGDIR:ICU since it is no longer required
- Fixed downloads from itch.io
- Improved network error handling in the media player
- Cleaned up console log output into dprintf
- Fixed the base URL for HLS media chunks (fixes cnn.com, etc)

A vulnerability has been identified and fixed in the OpenSSL 3.0.1 included in MorphOS 3.16. The vulnerability (CVE-2022-0778) allows malicious attackers to create TLS certificates that when connected to result in the client application hanging indefinitely.

A fixed openssl3.library (based on OpenSSL 3.0.2) will be released as the part of the future MorphOS 3.17 release. Meanwhile you can install the following replacement openssl3.library that fixes the problem for MorphOS 3.16:

A new version of Wayfarer comes included with the OS and replaces the now obsolete Odyssey Web Browser. We've also included the Iris email client, Magic Beacon notifications system and a Command-Tab application switcher. The Synergy Client and Server applications are now compatible with the free Barrier alternative. OpenSSL3 is now available as a shared library.

The MorphOS Team is proud to announce the immediate availability of the MorphOS 3.16 SDK, March 2022 release. This update includes GCC 11 and numerous enhancement to already available compilers, GG components and debugging tools. We've included link libraries enabling the use of a new, shared openssl3.library. Additionally, GCC4 and GCC7 have been dropped and are no longer supported.

Our new SDK requires MorphOS 3.16 and about 2 GB of free disk space and can be found in our files section. As usual, a separate source package is available for download as well.

To kick off the celebrations we are proud to present a brand-new plugin for Hollywood: Iconic. Iconic is the ultimate icon loader and saver plugin for Hollywood. It will make all your icon dreams come true because it can load and save icons in pretty much all of the most common icon formats. The following formats are currently supported:

The Amiga Games List, a document created and maintained by David Brunet since April 1991, has been updated on January 13th 2022 with the publication of its 52nd edition. Among other new features and corrections, games published or updated in 2021 have been added, and games created with Project Horizon and Irrlicht Engine are now counted. In addition, the "Mozilla" and "Professional" licences have been added; the latter concerns games intended for professional use, e.g. medical. The total now reaches 13,539 entries, be it games, level editors, data disks level editors, data disks, extensions and interpreters, which are distributed as follows

12,910 games.
347 extensions and data disks.
148 game or level editors.
134 interpreters.

There are new 626 MorphOS native games.

After about 5 years of development, the first non-beta release of Iris is now available for download!

Iris is the most advanced and modern mail client among all of the clients available on MorphOS and Amiga. It's the only client to support OAuth2 for GMail, Yahoo and Outlook. It's the only client to support full html viewing and editing of emails, thanks to the inclusion of a stripped down WebKit. Iris is the application that has sparked off countless innovations in other parts of the OS, including adding ObjectiveC support and Unicode support into MUI.

Getting to the 1.0 version would not have been possible without the support of all of the betatesters, translators and users who either donated to the project or sent me bugreports and logs. Airsoft Softwair, the hardest working men in code business, are back on your screen with a major update of hURL - the ultimate multi-protocol data transfer plugin for Hollywood which allows Hollywood scripts to transfer data using all kinds of different network protocols including full SSL support. Version 1.2 is a major update that now supports Hollywood 9's extended network adapter so that Hollywood's DownloadFile() and UploadFile() functions can now handle all protocols supported by hURL instead of just HTTP. This makes it much easier to use hURL because you often don't have to use hURL's lowlevel interface any longer but can just use DownloadFile() or UploadFile() instead.

This release contains several minor bug fixes and one major bug fix for the Amiga compatible platforms. Because of a major bug in the Amiga versions of RapaGUI 2.0, everybody should upgrade to RapaGUI 2.1. RapaGUI 2.1 is now available for free download from the official Hollywood portal.

Additionally, thanks to the incredible efforts by Helmut Haake and Dominic Widmer, the RapaGUI 2.1 manual is now available in German language. Wayfarer 2.8 is now available. This version focuses on various performance improvements, including Altivec support for various audio mixing routines in WebAudio, overall boost to mathematical operations thanks to a port of Apple's PowerPC optimized libm and rewritten feColorMatrix routines, up to 6 times faster than the standard WebCore code. This version also addresses various random crashes that were caused by a GCC bug when compiling in longcall mode.

Iris 0.128 fixes Yahoo account setup and comes with various other bugfixes and improvements, including the GCC longcall fix.

"Cybersphere - A cyberpunk adventure" by GDG Entertainment has been released and it's available in a collectors' edition at BitmapSoft for MorphOS users.

CyberSphere is an icon-driven game developed with text adventures in mind. Explore a cyberpunk-themed world spreading across a fictional town, its undergrounds and the outer space above it to discover its secrets. Traverse the voxels-made environment using an icon-based mechanics instead of typing text.
