Software : : Wayfarer 3.9 released, now with Clearkey DRM support

The new Wayfarer release comes with following changes

- Implemented ClearKey DRM support for HLS media streams
- Implemented HLS stream quality switching accessible from the media popup
- Added configurable touch events emulation (think Youtube-Mobile seeking slider)
- Refactored the HLS player to allow MPEG-TS playback
- Live HLS streams now start playing closer to the current time
- Improved stream end position reporting to get some streaming services correctly skip to next stream after playing ads
- Updated libcurl

While not very popular these days, ClearKey encryption is still being used by some live streaming services. Wayfarer will now play those streams (https://tv.nrk.no for example).

The touch events emulation makes it possible to seek on mobile Youtube again.

    The picture starts nicely with the sound working nicely. Then the picture stops but the music continues.

    I am using a PowerBook G4 1.64GHz setup.

    Yeah, looks like there's some problem with this stream indeed... I'll try to fix this in the next release.
