First, Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year 2005 to all MorphOS users!

Here is the VERY GOOD NEWS....
Pavel Kanzelsberger, the author of Pixel32, is doing a MorphOS port of his excellent and powerfull image editor. It's comparable to Photoshop in many ways and has all the features a high quality image editor should have...

The MorphOS specific version will be available by the beginning of 2005 and it is already possible to purchase it at:
http://pixel32.box.sk/

for the very reasonable price of USD 32.00. I'd like to encourage all MorphOS users who need professional image processing to consider purchasing Pixel32 and thereby to encourage the author in his developpement of this MorphOS port.

Also, as you can see on his website, the fee covers Pixel32 for several other platforms. Have a look on the website, it's really worth it!

"Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood" coming soon to the Pegasos.

"Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood", originally developed by Spellbound Entertainment for the PC, will soon continue its adventures on the Pegasos. The MorphOS version of Robin Hood has just reached the "first playable" stage on the Pegasos. A demoversion will be released soon and the game is expected to start shipping in QI/2005 for MorphOS.

About "Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood": You take on the role of the hero Robin Hood and also the roles of his faithful vassals and take them to the battle field against the nasty Prince John Lackland. In doing so you are able to enjoy the fabulous English landscape of 1190 as well as the giant castles and funny characters. The thrilling story is introduced by an award-winning introduction and transfers you directly into the hero's body with the first mission, in which you have to set the captive comrades free. Take up the battle against the oppressors and free the farmers from the Prince's reign! Be smart, be fast! Be Robin Hood!

Welcome back to MorphZone! We're back up and running, but you will notice a few missing images, bugs, and some features may not work.

The missing features are due to some componants needing a recompile. Logins, avatars, and PM's should all be back to normal. Those behind MorphZone appreciate your patience over the last few weeks, and we saved the best for last....

MorphZone is now running on PPC!!!

After months of hard work the Gentoo Foundation are proud to bring you Gentoo 2004.3. 2004.3 brings you several new features, such a much improved genkernel (for automatically building a working kernel) and cascading profiles. On the Pegasos side of things the LiveCD has become easier to boot, you simply type "boot cd boot/pegasos" in SmartFirmware to get going.
To upgrade an existing installation simply run "rm -f /etc/make.profile; ln -s /usr/portage/profiles/default-ppc-2004.3 /etc/make.profile"

OpenPictureSpace displays a directory full of pictures in a thumbnail list view. It can displays jpeg, gif, png and iff ilbm pictures (including HAM and EHB specific Amiga modes). Other image viewers build a n x m grid with thumbnails. In contrast this soft scales images only vertically and places as many images into a line as possible. So the screen space is optimized for a maximum number of thumbnails.

This is a port of Beats of Rage for MorphOS by kiero. He made it long time ago but never finished. After reimplementing (it's not configure&&make port. Original was running under MSDOS) graphics and input handling (keyboard only) He saw it's not worth it and the gfx is nice, but playability is very low, so he never bothered to implement sound. He decided to give it to people so they will try it and stop bugging him :)
