    Interesting!

We will be in Dallas next week and will stop by for a visit with the makers of Doom. Any suggestions for discussion (don't worry ATI is in a good way :-) )?!

Radeon3D support. It would be nice if they gave you the object files of the LinuxPPC drivers so you could link them to your code and create a MOS driver.

Same with nVidia... but I don't know how good LinuxPPC support is :-/

If you can't convince them about MOS, tell them to improve the LinuxPPC drivers saying that it will make MAC users happy too.

It would be very nice if the object files of the drivers were free with a list of available functions with offsets to call them. Regardless of the target os... that would be good for ALL PPC OSes.

About DoomIII... ummm don't hold your breath... we need proper 3D drivers to run it. (Yeah, it runs on Voodoo5 but looks... crap. Without the shadows, bump mapping etc the game loses its feeling)

Well, at least this christmas iD software will make QuakeIII sources free :-)

Try to talk to VALVE! Half Life2 is a cool game and as its engine is DX8 should be easier to port. A MOS/LINUXPPC port would be nice...

Blizzard would be a good company to talk to...
