The MorphOS Team is proud to announce the immediate availability of the MorphOS 3.16 SDK, February 2021 release. This update includes a greatly enhanced GDB, with TUI, syntax highlighting and shared library debugging. Two new profiling utilities were added. EventProfiler may be used to instrument a applications and generate Chrome Debugger files that may be loaded into Wayfarer for analysis. Koprofiler is a sampling profile that can be used to record a selected thread. Several GG packages were also updated, including git, wget, nano and perl. Updated OpenSSH now comes with ssh-agent.

Our new SDK requires MorphOS 3.15 and about 2 GB of free disk space and can be found in our files section. As usual, a separate source package is available for download as well.

Iris 0.104 is now available for download from iris-morphos.com. The new version makes it possible to map your email archives and folders of other email applications right into Iris. This release also fixes several crashes reported via the built-in bug reporting system.

Do note that the Arexx port has changed from IRIS.1 to IRIS and needs to be adjusted in OpenURL settings!

A new version of Wayfarer is now available from wayfarer.icu. Changes include faster startup times and several stability and UI improvements.

Iris 0.100 improves folder index loading and saving times, adds an online update check and fixes two crashes. To download, head to iris-morphos.com.

Iris 0.98 is now available. The new version uses the same WebKit as Wayfarer 1.10 for viewing, writing emails and printing. It also comes with the same loader / bug report mechanism as the browser. Viewing emails in subwindows has been streamlined with new Previous/Next email buttons. SMTP/IMAP flows have been improved and POP3 support fixed. Several use-after-free bugs were addressed for improved stability.

Iris is now available in German, French, Turkish and Finnish thanks to the hard work of the MorphOS' Translators.

The MorphOS development team is proud to announce the immediate availability of MorphOS 3.15. This release includes numerous important performance, stability and security improvements. In particular, a number of serious bugs affecting wide range of system components and included applications have been fixed, and many components based on open source projects have been updated to their latest versions. The Odyssey web browser also performs better when browsing HTTPS web pages due to improved certificate validation performance.

Also, the MorphOS development team would like to announce the concurrent release of  MorphOS Software Development Kit 3.16 (December 2020).

This release offers countless improvements in our compilers, includes, libnix, GeekGadget environment and tools. We've included GCC 10, GDB, unzip and nano, and removed GCC 8. GCC 7 and 9 received updates fixing various bugs. libpthread was fixed and improved in various ways to provide more complete threading support. Binutils, OpenSSL, Perl, cURL, Git and OpenSSH, among others, were also updated. The full list of changes may be found in the SDK.readme file included in the distribution.

Despite challenging circumstances, these two releases end one of the most fruitful years in recent MorphOS history. The developers would like to wish all MorphOS user a happy and successful 2021!

The media player supports similar codecs as Odyssey, but also the Opus audio codec and MPEG-TS demuxing. HLS support allows listening to many modern radio streams. Media playback can be enabled or disabled per host.
