After long time on SDL 2... It's time to upgrade to version 3.

Now SDL 3.x is a static library (everything is included in the binaries). This method is much simpler for me.

You can find the SDL 3.2.8 "beta" SDK, as well as SDL_mixer, SDL_image and SDL_ttf in version 3 on storage https://www.morphos-storage.net/?find=SDL_3.

New ports are coming... SDL 3 available for MorphOS

Iris 1.44 is now available for download.

Several past releases have mostly focused on re-implementing local cache for offline viewing of messages. Iris can now use up to 10 threads to simultaneously download whole emails. Once a folder is cached, messages and attachments will display instantaneously.

Calendar events may now be responded to as well as cancelled via Iris.

Sending emails may be configured to always BCC to a predefined account. This makes it possible to verify if a mission critical email was in fact accepted by the SMTP server or for backup purposes.

Please use 'Check for Updates' from Iris' menu to automatically download and install the update.

Leif Salomonsson wrote ECX as a closed-source AmigaE compiler for PowerPC Amiga-likes (starting with MorphOS) and classic Amiga. Several years later he discontinued development and released the source code of the compiler, written in ECX as a self-hosted development system.

EEC is a fork of it, hosted on GitHub, that compiles all ECX sources. The intended purpose is to parallel E-VO on the classics whose compiler is developed in 68k Assembly and is based on generations of AmigaE after Dr. Wouter van Oortmerssen left the Amiga scene in similar fashion to Leif, leaving the Assembly source to AmigaE.

If you know anything about Leif's work on ECX, please share it in the comments below or in the EEC discussion board on GitHub. There are still a few bugs left but without the help of knowledgeable developers it will once again languish in a bit-bucket. Bug reports can be made to the EEC issue tracker on GitHub. Thanks to D. M. Coles, the author of E-VO, the EEC sources compile themselves and the demo programs that came with ECX.
