I have just prepared and uploaded SDL 2 archive to Aminet available to all MorphOS users and developers.

There is no SDL 2 ports available yet and SDL 2 port is minimal with only one sublibrary (sdl2_image.library) available. More libraries are available in the future and sdl2_mixer.library is already under works.

It also lacks 3D support at the moment and few subset APIs.

As soon as the archive is accepted by Aminet maintainers it is available for download.

MorphOS 3.8 or newer is required.

The MorphOS development team is proud to announce the public release of MorphOS 3.8, which introduces support for ACube´s Sam460 series of mainboards and numerous Radeon graphics cards from AMD´s X1000 and HD series. In addition to various performance improvements related to the Quark kernel, Exec, 3D graphics and video playback, MorphOS 3.8 also adds the ability to use state-of-the-art 4K displays in their native resolution. For a more extensive overview of the included changes, please read our release notes.

As usual, existing MorphOS users can update to the latest release entirely for free. Sam460 owners who are interested to register MorphOS for their system will be able to do so for 49 EUR.

We strongly urge new users to carefully read our installation and troubleshooting guides before they attempt to install MorphOS for the first time. Existing users can upgrade via the familiar procedure but are encouraged to read the guides as well. MorphOS 3.8 is available for download in our files section.

Following last year's highly successful event, Recursion returns (as it should...) and will take place at King Edward Vi School, Stratford-upon-Avon on Saturday 4 July 11.00-16.00.

Join us to celebrate 30 years of Amiga Heritage - meet up with a user group, have a play on the latest hardware and have a chat with MorphOS users and Amigans of all shapes, sizes and flavours!

The fair is completely free to all visitors and exhibitors and we are always keen to cram in another table of goodness: pm me or email rmbATkesDOTnet if you'd like to be added to the list of exhibitors. We are especially keen to show off the latest version of MorphOS on a range of hardware. Please do get in touch!

In addition to the Amiga madness, the RiscOS Midlands User Group will be holding their annual summer show as part of Recursion and the Retro Computer Museum will be bringing more retro and vintage systems than you could possibly play on in just 5 hours!

There will be plenty of new stuff to have a go on too: hundreds of Raspberry Pis to play with; virtual reality experiences thanks to Oculus Rift; unmanned drone flight training; electronics and programming workshops and loads, loads more.

Recursion is the ideal fair for geeks of all ages and vintages. See the Recursion 2015 website for more details:

Michael "Clyde Radcliffe" Jurisch's Hollywood add-on for Cubic IDE has been updated to support the full Hollywood 6.0 command set now. Furthermore, there have been some bug fixes and optimizations. The hw4cubic plugin allows you to use Cubic IDE as an IDE for Hollywood. The complete Hollywood command set is imported into Cubic IDE so you'll get syntax highlighting, quick command information, hotkey links to the documentation for command under cursor, function list, direct access to the compiler, auto complete and intellisense functionality and much more.

In addition, a Hollywood 6.0 wordfile for the popular Windows text editor UltraEdit is now also available for download on the official Hollywood portal. This wordfile allows you to conveniently edit Hollywood scripts on Windows using UltraEdit.

All downloads are available from the official Hollywood portal.
