The MorphOS Team is proud to announce the immediate availability of the MorphOS 3.16 SDK, March 2022 release. This update includes GCC 11 and numerous enhancement to already available compilers, GG components and debugging tools. We've included link libraries enabling the use of a new, shared openssl3.library. Additionally, GCC4 and GCC7 have been dropped and are no longer supported.

Our new SDK requires MorphOS 3.16 and about 2 GB of free disk space and can be found in our files section. As usual, a separate source package is available for download as well.

Code business is back. In 2022 Airsoft Softwair, the hardest working men in code business, celebrate the 20th anniversary of Hollywood, the cross-platform multimedia application layer. To kick off the celebrations we are proud to present a brand-new plugin for Hollywood: Iconic. Iconic is the ultimate icon loader and saver plugin for Hollywood. It will make all your icon dreams come true because it can load and save icons in pretty much all of the most common icon formats. The following formats are currently supported:

The Amiga Games List, a document created and maintained by David Brunet since April 1991, has been updated on January 13th 2022 with the publication of its 52nd edition. Among other new features and corrections, games published or updated in 2021 have been added, and games created with Project Horizon and Irrlicht Engine are now counted. In addition, the "Mozilla" and "Professional" licences have been added; the latter concerns games intended for professional use, e.g. medical. The total now reaches 13,539 entries, be it games, level editors, data disks level editors, data disks, extensions and interpreters, which are distributed as follows

12,910 games.
347 extensions and data disks.
148 game or level editors.
134 interpreters.

There are new 626 MorphOS native games.

After about 5 years of development, the first non-beta release of Iris is now available for download!

Iris is the most advanced and modern mail client among all of the clients available on MorphOS and Amiga. It's the only client to support OAuth2 for GMail, Yahoo and Outlook. It's the only client to support full html viewing and editing of emails, thanks to the inclusion of a stripped down WebKit. Iris is the application that has sparked off countless innovations in other parts of the OS, including adding ObjectiveC support and Unicode support into MUI.

Getting to the 1.0 version would not have been possible without the support of all of the betatesters, translators and users who either donated to the project or sent me bugreports and logs. I would also like to single out Christoph Poelzl of https://rms-communications.ch for all of his contributions and pushing me to add features to meet his business use cases. Airsoft Softwair, the hardest working men in code business, are back on your screen with a major update of hURL - the ultimate multi-protocol data transfer plugin for Hollywood which allows Hollywood scripts to transfer data using all kinds of different network protocols including full SSL support. Version 1.2 is a major update that now supports Hollywood 9's extended network adapter so that Hollywood's DownloadFile() and UploadFile() functions can now handle all protocols supported by hURL instead of just HTTP. This makes it much easier to use hURL because you often don't have to use hURL's lowlevel interface any longer but can just use DownloadFile() or UploadFile() instead.

This release contains several minor bug fixes and one major bug fix for the Amiga compatible platforms. Because of a major bug in the Amiga versions of RapaGUI 2.0, everybody should upgrade to RapaGUI 2.1. RapaGUI 2.1 is now available for free download from the official Hollywood portal.

Additionally, thanks to the incredible efforts by Helmut Haake and Dominic Widmer, the RapaGUI 2.1 manual is now available in German language. Please visit the German Hollywood portal for viewing or downloading the German translation of RapaGUI 2.1. Once again, thanks to Helmut and Dominic for translating the 350+ PDF pages.

Wayfarer 2.8 is now available. This version focuses on various performance improvements, including Altivec support for various audio mixing routines in WebAudio, overall boost to mathematical operations thanks to a port of Apple's PowerPC optimized libm and rewritten feColorMatrix routines, up to 6 times faster than the standard WebCore code. This version also addresses various random crashes that were caused by a GCC bug when compiling in longcall mode.

Iris 0.128 fixes Yahoo account setup and comes with various other bugfixes and improvements, including the GCC longcall fix.

"Cybersphere - A cyberpunk adventure" by GDG Entertainment has been released and it's available in a collectors' edition at BitmapSoft for MorphOS users.

CyberSphere is an icon-driven game developed with text adventures in mind. Explore a cyberpunk-themed world spreading across a fictional town, its undergrounds and the outer space above it to discover its secrets. Traverse the voxels-made environment using an icon-based mechanics instead of typing text.
