Meet Koliber — a brand-new, native presentation program for MorphOS, built around one big idea: instead of a stack of slides, your whole talk lives on a single infinite canvas, and the show flies between the points you choose with smooth zoom, pan and rotate.

The first public preview of CopperSharp68k is now available.

CopperSharp68k is a closed-world CIL-to-Motorola 68k ahead-of-time (AOT) compiler for C# and other .NET languages.

The compiler currently produces:
  • Amiga HUNK executables
  • 256 KiB and 512 KiB Kickstart ROM images
  • Readable Motorola 68k assembler output
The supported CPU targets are MC68000, MC68020, MC68040, and MC68060.

The Amiga target is intended for Kickstart 1–3 systems. CopperSharp also supports the MorphOS m68k environment, including selected MorphOS m68k ABI extensions and system interfaces. It does not currently generate native MorphOS/PPC code.

A new beta of Cameleon 0.98 is out — the native paint and image-editing program for MorphOS. The headline change is a completely rebuilt brush system, but there's more.

What's new:

Parametric pen generator (a Photoshop-style brush engine). A pen is no longer a loaded bitmap — it's defined by a set of parameters and generated on the fly. A new pen editor with a live curved-stroke preview and controls grouped into sections: Pen Tip Shape (size, hardness, roundness, angle, spacing, round/square, flip), Shape Dynamics, Scattering, Texture, Transfer (flow jitter), Color Dynamics, Dual Brush and Smudge. Pressure and fade support.
Pens saved as tiny, regeneratable .cpen files — "Save as…" adds a pen to the picker.
A new pen picker on the bar — pens shown as live stroke previews, grouped into named categories (Round, Calligraphy, Square, Textured, Scatter, Effects, Smudge, User); 18 built-in pens.
Effects and plugins now preview live, directly on the canvas (the GIMP model) — non-destructive, confined to the selection, with Apply/Cancel and full undo.
Icon themes — the toolbar can be themed ("flat" and "mono" ship in the box), chosen in Preferences.
New Cameleon application and drawer icons; Manual.pdf now opens with VPDF.
Fixes: the Sobel plugin crash (and the same bug in Randomize) is fixed, Open Project on a bad file now shows a requester, and the Project/Export menu entry works.

Legion, the beloved Amiga fantasy strategy/RPG, has been given a native MorphOS port. It's a complete, fully playable version of the classic — brought to a modern PowerPC system and polished for stability and comfort of play.

About the game

In a realm torn by war, you lead your legion from a single fortress toward mastery of the land. Build up your cities, recruit and equip warriors, march armies across a strategic world map, and settle clashes in tactical field battles. Add shop trading, character progression, races, weapons and adventures that pull you in for hours.

Key features
Strategic world map: cities, armies, roads and expeditions
Real-time tactical battles with per-warrior stats
City building, a shop, equipment and character development
Random adventures and events
Atmospheric art and music from the original
What's new in the MorphOS release
Native MorphOS build (PowerSDL + OpenGL/tinygl) — no emulation
Reworked, unified save/load (Continue), with the map scroll position remembered and overwrite/delete confirmation on save slots
Fixed selected-warrior stats during field action (now stay visible throughout)
Many stability fixes and small UI improvements

The cult classic DEFCON by Introversion Software (2006) — the minimalist "WarGames"-style strategy game of global nuclear war — has been ported to MorphOS.

This is a full PowerPC conversion: the whole world is simulated in real time, wrapped in DEFCON's signature vector look in military-radar colours. Single-player against CPU opponents is fully playable — from the menu, through placing your forces (radars, silos, fleets), to launching the war.

The port involved a substantial rework of the networking layer (DEFCON runs a local server and client) to work correctly with MorphOS's per-task bsdsocket.library, a fixed shutdown order (audio before SDL_Quit), reliable reclaiming of the server port after a restart, and a series of memory bugs caught with a native x86-64 + Valgrind harness. It's built on PowerSDL (SDL 1.2) and TinyGL (OpenGL).

Please note: this release contains the port only. The game data is commercial (property of Introversion Software) — you must supply it from your own legally purchased copy of DEFCON (Steam, GOG, etc.): simply copy main.dat, sounds.dat and the localisation folder into the game drawer. Full instructions are in the included README.

Requirements: MorphOS 3.x (PowerPC), PowerSDL, TinyGL, your own copy of DEFCON.

AI4MorphOS is a native MUI application that brings modern AI assistants to MorphOS/PPC.

It works as a chat client and as a tool-using agent that can read, write and run things on your MorphOS machine— safely, under your control.

Highlights:

* Multi-provider — Anthropic (Claude) natively, plus any OpenAI-compatible endpoint (OpenAI, DeepSeek, OpenRouter and more). Pick provider and model in the top bar; fetch the model list on demand.

* Agent mode — a provider-neutral tool loop with list_dir, read_file, write_file, search, replace_in_file, run and remember. It makes targeted edits instead of rewriting whole files, and can run several tools per turn.

* Safe by design — file tools are confined to a working directory; anything outside asks Yes / Session / Always / No, and every action is written to an audit log.

* Live streaming — replies appear token by token, a token counter shows usage, and long conversations are automatically summarised so requests stay small and cheap.

* Stays responsive — the window never freezes during a request, and a Stop button aborts a call in flight.

* Made for real work — auto-saved sessions with per-session working directory, a Markdown memo (global + per-project) that remembers where your compiler and tools live, one-click git init, and “open memo in your editor”.
