Carsten Siegner has released the first public version of Magical Ink, a new vector paint application for MorphOS 2.5. The software can import OpenOffice Draw, Microsoft Word (97), SVG documents as well as common text and bitmap graphics files. Currently, it can also export to the PDF, SVG, PNG and EPS file formats.

The software requires at least MorphOS 2.5 or higher, antiword-0.37 (for Word95 Import), fonts from an OWB installation, a screen size of at least 1024x768 or higher and a bare minimum of 100 MB of memory. Please note that, not unlike OWB, the software may have to create a font cache on the first run which may take several minutes.

After more than 5 Years and several gaps where the page wasn't available, Geit.de was switched off in August this year. Countless people asked about the reason and showed that this site is regularily being visited by community members.

Geit.de changed server and domain provider during the last month and was only available through a fall back home server. But this period was used constructively. It all started with a new logo and ended with a complete make over of all 100 (!!) pages found at Geit.de. Some sections were enhanced, reworked and improved. Thanks to the new look and design future changes and providing new content will be much easier.

The multi-track audio recording and editing software Audio Evolution 4 is now available for MorphOS! With almost identical features to the AmigaOS4 and AROS version, it allows non-linear and non-destructive editing of 16-bit audio, real-time effect processing, automation, multi-track playback and much more. Visit the Audio Evolution website for more information, download the demo or buy it now for only 49 euro!

Many thanks go out to the MorphOS developer team who helped me out tremendously with getting my hardware up and running and solving software issues!
