I think you can boot from the iso file directly. Extract the boot.img from the iso and put it to your boot partition (but *keep* your old boot.img as long as the update is not finished!) and put the iso just somewhere.
Enter OF and type boot boot26.img bi="DH?:MorphOS-2.6.iso"
That one should boot right off the iso w/o the need of a cdr.
Alternatively you should be able to boot off a usb stick. Just extract the iso to a usb pen, put the boot.img to boot: and enter
boot boot26.img bi="usbscsi0:" (or what ever device name your usb pen gets).
Note: I got trouble to do it that way on my mini. OF syntax seems to be quite different on Mac in comparision to Peg/Efika. I was not even able to even get a list of the disk with my Peg/Efika based knowledge of the OF. Default boot path links here to a firewire-device, only the macboot command starts the boot process...
