SpotUp writes. "There has been a fair amount of talk recently about unity and co-operation between all of the Amiga camps (OS3, OS4, AROS and MorphOS). Many of us are tired of the divisions that cause many arguments and slow down progess. What we'd like to see is more co-operation between developers and users, just like we had in the good old days...

AmigaOS 4.x & MorphOS community we have listened to your feedback and are now seeking additional resources for DiscreetFX Labs to develop Aladdin 4D 6.0 for AmigaOS 4.x & MorphOS. You stated it was taking too long and we should not work on the OS X Lion version first so we are talking your feedback to heart. We are looking for one Amiga and MorphOS programmer proficient in C. No naughty Windows, Mac or Linux skills required, your time will be spent 100% working on coding what you love, AmigaOS 4.x & MorphOS!

Amigan Software are proud to announce that the CodeWar simulator, already available for Linux and Windows, has been ported to AmigaOS 3 and MorphOS. An AmigaOS 4 version is imminent.

CodeWar is essentially a simulation engine which allows multiple processes to execute simultaneously within the same virtual environment. This in turn provides programmers with the facilities to compete against one another by seeing who can write the program which exists the longest within this environment. Unlike other simulators such as CRobots, the competing robots are real native programs and may thus be written in any language.

Less formally, CodeWar allows programmers to create programs (robots) which can compete against one another using a variety of armaments (cannons, missiles, etc.) by executing them at the same time and communicating with the CodeWar simulator. Robots have the ability to detect these other robots and make up their own strategies to outsmart other programmers' code.

Additionally, Worm Wars 8.73 and Saga 1.81 have been released. These feature improved MorphOS compatibility, among other enhancements.
