Airsoft Softwair has just released a new plugin for Hollywood 5 - Infinity. This plugin enables all Hollywood scripts to load and save images in the TIFF format. TIFF is a format that offers lossless compression and the possibility to store images with alpha channels. Although many Amiga systems already have a TIFF datatype installed, it's still recommended to install this plugin because OS4's TIFF datatype doesn't support alpha channel graphics and saving via datatypes is also problematic on many systems.

You can download the plugin from the official Hollywood portal. Thanks to Hollywood 5's cross-platform plugin system versions for AmigaOS3 (Classic), AmigaOS3 (FPU), AmigaOS4, MorphOS, WarpOS, AROS (Intel), Linux (PowerPC), Linux (Intel), Mac OS (PowerPC), Mac OS (Intel), Windows and Google's Android platform are provided.

Odyssey 1.20 has been released. Amongst its changes:

- Updated to WebKit r144529 (March 2013). Amongst many other fixes, it cures an issue with some asp sites.
- Added copy image URL location in image contextmenu.
- Now uses MorphOS cairo/pixman/fontconfig shared libraries.
- Plugins are now expected to have version 2 or later.
- With spellchecker.library 50.1+ (MorphOS 3.2+), word learning feature is now functional.
- More bugfixes in websockets handling.
- Don't crash when HTML5 desktop notifications are invoked.

A new version of swfdec has been released as well, to support Odyssey using cairo shared library. As a bonus, it should be a bit faster than before. The audio routine has also been reworked, and requires latest Reggae to work.

MultiPlay is the first prorgam using new Reggae 3.1.7 feature, namely gapless music playback. It is a shell commands. It accepts any number of audio files as arguments, then plays them one by one as a continuous audio stream. It is intentionally made simple, as the source code is included, on permissive BSD license. Then being an usefull tool it also serves as programming example. However with lossy formats (like MP3) joins of streams may be still heard sometimes, MultiPlay will also work with coming FLAC decoder, and this format, being lossless, provides perfect joining. Note that Reggae Update 3.1.7 has to be installed for MultiPlay. The program can be found in the download section or installed with Grunch.
