Cinnamon Writer is now available for 1st time for MorphOS. Read more for features.

Cinnamon Writer is a native WYSIWYG word processor developed especially for Amiga and Amiga-like systems. It features advanced layout options, spell checking, advanced undo/redo options, restoring of lost documents and DocX compatibility, allowing for compatibility with mainstream word processors of other platforms.
The biggest news of this version is the complete rewrite of the GUI system taking advantage of the MUI interface. Other improvements include a new memory and indexing system allowing you to work on very big documents on machines with only little memory. A restoring system will back up your document every 5 minutes, and if you experience a crash or inadvertently power off your Amiga before saving, Cinnamon Writer will restore your last session.

According to the Scriba author in a comment at amiga-news.de, work on the MorphOS version of Cinnamon Writer is limited by the fact that his copy of MorphOS is not registered yet.

Thus we might want to make use of the possibility to donate to Claus Desler on his Cinnamon website for acquiring a licence for his machine.

I must admit it is rather unstable here. Crashed twice in a minute. Will send a bugreport to the author.

ok so it does crash. I had an experience when selecting bullets, and the bullet default seems to bring up a #5 instead of an actual bullet. this was on docx document.

It would be a lot easier to donate if he would have his paypal-buttons directed to paypal.com/en/cgi-bin/... instead of /dk/ ;)

    That's not very smart.

Well docx support is very exciting but the crashing reports make me nervous. The one app you dont want crashing is a wordpro, right in the middle of a complex doc.. then freeze.. yikes

Is it just me or is this really slow for others too?

I can actually type a sentance and then sit back watching the characters slowly appear on the screen one by one.

It runs, but there is little you can do with it at present, as there isn't even any printer or PDF support.

Images can now be loaded, but they all seem to end up with a red hue, and text jumps about on the page when you load an image, but there is a primitive Word-Wrap function also built-in, but the default Bitstream Vera Sans TTF font need to be pre-loaded in SYS:Fonts/_ttf which is downloadable from the author's website along with a few other assorted TTF fonts, and there are other TTF Google Fonts available for download via GitHub - GitHub - Hosting Google Fonts TTF - suitable for use with Cinnamon Writer the author states.

The author is aware of these shortcomings, and is currently working to fix them, so this does seem to be a W.I.P but there is a long way to go before we get something useful from it.
