MorphZone is preparing to populate it's new Image Gallery based on the "MiniGal" module.  This module, while more attractive and reliable than the old gallery system, has no "upload" feature for users.  Thus, MorphZone needs a pair of "Image Moderators" that will be able to recieve images, use the admin interface to upload images and descriptions, and for general maintenance.  Image Moderators will each recieve a seperate address to keep their regular inbox free from images.

Attention ALL USERS:  Due to the loss of the database of the previous system, the webmaster will slowly insert those images into the new image database.  All data, including submitter, topic, name, and descriptions have been lost.  Thus, we need you to identify your images!  Once the Image Moderators have been assigned their duties, submit relevent information (including a link to the image's current location) to the moderators.

The new module may be found here: www.morphzone.org/modules/mg

EDIT:  Until Moderators have been assigned, the module is limited to those who have logged in!

Around this time of year, every year, there is a a special GoldED x-mas promotion. It's usually about selling the latest and greatest version at a ridiculously low price to gifted developers. But this year, it will be a bit different:

Sponsor a development package for a developer!

That's right: purchase a state-of-the-art Cubic IDE development package not for yourself but for somebody else. At a ridiculously low price, of course. Make another Amiga/MorphOS developer happy and give him a brand new development package as recognition for good work done. If you are not familiar with creating software and can't program for toffee, sending a development kit to a gifted programmer might be the next best thing to writing software.

After months and months of hard, relentless and tenacious negotiations with Computer Corner and 1 day of porting, #amigazeux and iti are proud to present Diavolo Backup - your favourite Backup-utility from the 90s - in MorphOS native flavour.

Heinz M. of #amigazeux commented: "From backing up to tape streamers over other devices and even files everything is possible. I like the boss of the 2nd level most!"

This action packed backup program with GUI elements offers everything the spoiled amiga user needs when he feels bored and is in pressing need to create backups of his most precious data.

One of the best features of this exciting backup program experience with its long lasting appeal is that it doesn't come in any pre-release version. The version you will download is full and free.

Download is available here.

Martin Blom has released v6.0 of his audio driver software AHI.

There are version for AmigaOS4, AmigaOS3, MorphOS and AROS available.

News & recent changes [Read on]

Here are all the major changes since the last stable release, v4:

o Anti-click mixing routines, which makes AHI search for a zero-crossing before playing a new note
o Playback of 32 bit samples.
o Multi-channel audio. Eight channels are supported.
o Support for four more architectures: MorphOS/PPC, AmigaOS4/PPC, Amithlon/ix86, AROS/ix86.
o Support for PowerPC accelerator cards (MorphOS and AmigaOS4 only).
o A new driver, device.audio, can be used to make all low-level AHI applications, which normally open AHI in exclusive mode, behave as if they used the high-level API which allows several AHI applications to work simultaneously.
o The 68000 processor is no longer supported; a 68020 or better is required.

For a full log of everything that has been updated, see the ChangeLog file below.
