Looks cool, but the rocks on the screens looks like the ones from Project-X from Team17.

Just letting you know it works here on my Peg I Radeon 7500 combo with
128 megs :-) Brings back some good old school shooter memories :-D
The game will crash the box if you don't have a 320x240x8 mode setup
(as I did not till I read the readme) so that would be the suggestion
I have for making it better-a screenmode requester or at least a
graceful failure if the prog doesn't find what it needs.

Good playability though, nice powerups, and it multitasks :-)

    Thanks!

Now if only I could get the authors to port 'pengo' and 'Star
Defenders' to MOS native. Siiigh.. Hey, I sent my $$$ in an envelope
back in the day to register those games. I still have the disk and
letter from Martin, who wrote 'Pengo' which my wife and I played on my
    A500. Memories...

    Welcome...

Yes, the meteors were heavily inspired from ProjectX... the best of the best eh? Tweaked them quite a bit though to fit palettes and resolution... and of course, they now rotate! Team17 are in the credits of course.

If I have time and courage, I'll wrap more levels up... and draw some custom made meteors! :)

    Enjoy,

Hum... And the explosion sound effect when you die sounds a lot like explosion when you kill enemies in Sidewinter :)

    Hum hum...

    Explosions?
No, not at all. I revived those from a few old games I did a few years ago on the 'Miga.
Can't remember exactly and I guess there aren't that many explosion sounds around: they were probably taken from a library CD of some form... I obviously didn't go and explode something in a field with a professional sound artist for the sake of homebrew programming!

I'm sure the other sounds like the fire, bonus pickups and so on are tweaked versions of some other stuff. I can't remember to be honest.
But does it matter? My program is freeware anyway, I do all this by myself for fun.

I'm starting to get a little irritated by all this scrutiny over my stuff!

I do not see that many original programs being released on MorphOS these days, and if you guys jump on us like that at every corner, instead of being encouraging, they'll be even less very soon!

    Rant over...

Hey, more than one lonely Amiga-clone programmer has longed for the
day when the biggest nit picked with their software is 'if it only had
screenmode requestor' or 'the explosions sound like xxx' so don't get
bummed out :-) This is a cool game, we're glad to have it!

    Please make more!

And once again, Thank You Thank You Thank You :-D

    Thanks Tronman.

    I guess you're right.
Interesting to see the cold-ish welcome of my proggy in this community, compared to what I got in the GP32 homebrew scene last year... I was a god for a few weeks !!! :) Oh well.
I suppose most MOS users are somewhat frustrated these days for various reasons, and spend more time moaning about what they don't have, rather than enjoy what they do have (for what it is...).
    Shame.
I'll go back and play with my brand new GP2x for now, and will give some thoughts about porting anything to MOS in the future, or not...

Thanks for your feedback anyway! Glad you and develin were around to cheer me up.
