In an effort to show support for the world around us, MorphZone is proud to host a new gallery, The Butterfly Conservation.

We are looking for photos of butterflies in YOUR yard! The photos must also be of living specimens only. Take an intrest in conserving your local butterfly population by planting a butterfly friendly garden. Due to the simularity in their diets, the Conservitory will also allow pictures of hummingbirds.

Staring at another news item in your browser? Listening to tunes with your favorite MP3 player? How about watching a movie, playing a game, using a database, or simply writing an email?

Well, let that developer know that you are using their software! Find the About Box in the menu of your applications, and send those software authors an email! Don't stop there either! Write the artists who made your favorite icons or backdrops! Send an instant message IRCops, and in general let those folks know you appreciate thier efforts.

April 14 (GMT) is now Developer Feedback Day!

Tuscaloosa - I hope all enjoyed the good natured joke about the MorphZone ownership. Without a little bit of fun, things would become rather mundane. The webmaster would like to thank certain members of #amigazeux for their cooperation in this bit of humor.

The original news-item is available via the readmore.

The MorphZone SuperSearch block has been temporarily replaced with the standard MorphZone search block. This is due to a redesign of the SuperSearch system, we hope (as time permits) to bring back the SuperSearch in a better format supporting more search-engine results.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cuase.

Because the staff at MorphZone haven't learned to leave well enough alone, we have a new theme on MorphZone. If you would like this theme to be your default theme, go to your site preferences and select "basic" as your theme.

Enjoy!

MorphZone now has some nifty shortcuts to get to the online FAQs, faqs.morphzone.org and faq.morphzone.org. Pick your favorite url of the two for bookmarking, as both go to the same place.

Don't forget to visit the forums to bug our faq moderator, tokai, if you feel that something is missing or needs to be changed in the FAQs!

Earlier today, the lastposts module was taken down (the "Top 40") to install a security fix.

Thanks to Origin & DaveP of AmigaWorld.net and Kent & Wayne of Amiga.org for their help in this matter.

MorphZone presents the first annual "Best Original Freeware" awards!

During an almost (Best Freeware of 2003) secret meeting on #MorphZone, the idea came up and the criteria determined to give an award to the best freeware of the year. It's the original freeware authors who are really making our fledgling OS and community shine, and we want to give the MorphZone members the chance to select their favorite!

Login, find the poll on the right side of the main page, and then VOTE! Only YOU can decide who's original freeware is the best of 2003!
