@DiskDoctor,
Everyone has there own opinion, and yours might be right, but I do not agree. I don't think many Mac users that have never heard of an Amiga, or MorphOS will be interested in trying MorphOS for the MacMini, UNLESS it is a free demo version that they can run from a CD which they can burn for themselves from a downloaded .iso image. Not something they have to install, but a Live CD they can run MorphOS from.
MANY Mac users did hear of Amiga because many of them had an Amiga because many people owned Amiga back in those days, as simple as that. You've got a point with the LIVE CD - I think it is a crucial milestone for Minis, hopefully will be released eventually. Now THAT's a way to try MOS. One more, I mean why to bother - just count MacMini PPC users base.

Even if many do decide to try MorphOS out that way, only the tiniest fraction of those that bother looking at MorphOS will ever purchase it, or use it because there is so little software available that runs native on the G4 PPC through MorphOS. We might get a few Mac users to come back IF they used to be Amiga users before, but quit after Commodore/Escom/Gateway gave up on continuing Amiga development.
My points they will:
1. MOS for Minis shouldn't be troublesome as long as it is gonna be able to be installed on a MACOS-made partition, preserving the current installation (that isn't a must), and also providing simple booting option (e.g. OSX as default)
2. MOS is CHEAP. Apple people spend much money on everything, actually I think personal Mac software sales might outperform Windows software sales (or be comparable maybe). So it is NOT an expense for having such an Apple-gadget, being another OS particularily
3. There is enough software for MorphOS! I mean as an entertainment desktop, not as a productive tool. mac people don't mind having fewer software options than e.g. Windows or linux users, much software is simply cool. So why multiplying apps that don't do much or do the same or almost serve their initial purpose, almost?
4. Even if some Mac people would express interest in MorphOS, not been having Amiga, consider mac people mentality (or maybe I just saw too many ads

):
a) Mac people bought Mac for a reason
b) they may have Windows as a second system but not necessarily, Mac is prime system for most anyway
c) they may have Linux as a second system but in most cases OSX is Unix-like-enough to think of Linux, also there is much opensource software for macs, ported, natively-compiled from source or else
d) they like to experiment for sake of progress and uniqueness (e.g. see Tables, Mesa, iWork etc.)
e) they don't like mainstream Windows anyway, they despise Linux, "free but sucks though" (yeah!

)
f) they always check for new potentially productive or entertaining solutions
g) their PPCMinis are pretty slow in 2009 already and are becoming a bit useless, like mine - thus they plan or have already a new desktop machine
h) a new OS to be hosted on their Minis seems a challenge... many would take up, you'll see

We need more "Killer" applications and games written just for MorphOS, or at least many more ports of applications and games from the Windows and Mac and Linux worlds. Without software a computer and it's OS are just a waste of electrical energy (that is why I am trying to improve my own programming skills and write MorphOS apps & games).
Fortunately much stuff is free, guaranteeing prompt build-up of a home-desktop MOS.
The most killer app here is...
marketing, marketing, marketing, marketing, marketing, marketing, marketing, marketing, marketing, marketing, marketing, marketing, marketing, marketing, marketing, marketing
And I don't mean money, I mean smart actions.

When/If MorphOS is released for the MacMini, I hope it has support for wireless networking via the MacMini's airport card and that the bluetooth also works, but that may be too much to ask for at its initial release
PSTN modem support should be much easier.
Was: Mac Mini PPC running MorphOS 2.4
Now: Amiga Forever 2010 with AmiKit and AmigaSYS
Not used: Icaros Desktop 1.2 (reason: no wifi)
Planned soon: an OS4 system
Shortly then: a MOS notebook (wifi is a must-have)
