NYCPUG - New York City Pegasos User Group Announces the launch of their website!

This is in conjuction with our First Meeting and Open House where the owners of Genesi, makers of the Pegasos and MorphOS, will be present! This site contains information on this event as well as furthur details and directions.

NYCPUG is a group for Tri State area Pegasos users. We will meet once a month in NYC for our meetings. Our first meeting and Pegasos show will allow future members to get information on the PEGASOS 2 computer and MorphOS 1.4. It will also give all prospective Pegasos owners a chance to meet the people behind the company - Raquel Velasco and Bill Buck. At this show NYCPUG is proud to announce New Hardware and Software Products for Pegasos/MorphOS! Stay tuned and please join us.

ps You dont have to own a Pegasos or even an Amiga to come to the show! Just an interest in computers and fun! LINUX and Mac users welcome as the PEgasos runs Linux, MacOs and other Operating Systems as well.

A new Pegasos portal based in Sweden at your service is now online.

You will find some information (more to be added gradually) as well as as a forum with discussions around the Pegasos computer.

Available languages at the moment is swedish & english.

Behind the portal stands PUGS - Pegasos User Group Sweden and its members.

As a follow up on the interview with Attention Software we got something extra at Flying Paper. In the interview you could read they were working on PIP (Picture In Picture). It will be soon out on the superbundle. Also there is the AmigaAMP/AmiNetRadio/Kaya music plugin. Read more about it and see some extra's on the Flying Paper website. Click here to see it.

I have done a review about my Free Pre-April II Pegasos Board. It's not an in-depth review about the Pegasos or MorphOS but more a description about the time receiving it and having it running.

Flying Paper has interviewed Attention Software. You can find it here.

Attention Software was formed when Ron van Herk, from Computer City in Rotterdam Holland, asked the members of the now formed Attention Software to do a game called Foto Foto. Philippe (Felix) and Elvis (Sphinx_Ra) are the core of Attention Software. There are also other members that are helping out with the beta testing, website updates and maintaining the contacts.

You read it correctly, AMOS the classic Amiga programming system has been released as open source. Since AMOS is now open source, will there be a MorphOS version? Only time will tell.

The MorphOS/Pegasos Quickstart Guide written by Jürgen Lucas has updated to version 2.5. The guide shows you how to install MorphOS on Pegasos with an empty IDE hard drive. Thanks to Andreas Zierl and Fabrice Lehaut the guide is beside german also available in english and french.
