Today issue 63 of the Amiga Future (November/December 2006) has been released, This means that all subscriptions and preorders have been brought to the postal office.

Again, this time we have some interesting articles in the magazine. We looked at the actual situation of Amiga Inc. and Hyperion, visited the Classic Computing and of course reviewed a lot of software vor the Amiga.

However workshops about relais cards on the Amiga and WHDLoad are also not to be missed.

In this issue we drift a little into the C64 world. We reviewed C64 emulators, the C64 Classix 2 and of course interviewed Protovision.

A more detailed preview and try-outs can be found using http://www.amigafuture.de/forum/kb.php?mode=article&k=577.

Because this is our last issue in the year we have a small gift for you on the cover CD. Besides many full versions for the Amiga (ApanoSin, Breathless, Conquestador, Erben des Throns, Fools Errand, Labyrinth of Time, Magic Island (untested), Manager, NewTracker AHI, T-Racer, The World Of Magic 1, The World Of Magic 2 ) you can also find over 100 full versions for the C64 as a small addition to the C64 part of this issue.

Further there are some music tracks by Andreas St?rmer, AmiKit 120 inc. video tutorials and much, much more.

The Amiga Future is available as a single issue or subscription.

The magazine can be obtained directly from the editorial office and the Amiga dealers (like Alinea, Vesalia, GGS-Data...).

Poseidon v3.4 USB stack update is now available for download from Chris Hodges homepage. This is AmigaOS 3.x 68k version only but new classes work fine with MorphOS. As the author informs there is no MorphOS version of this Poseidon release as it will be the integral part of MorphOS 1.5.
New features and changes: Two brand new classes for ethernet adapter cards with Pegasus chipsets and for USB data link. Automounting devices via massstorage class. CD/DVDs and NTFS filesystems are supported. HID class bugfixes and improvements. Several other bugfixes.
Starting from this release the registration keys from Poseidon 2.x are rejected.

Cinematte was created in 1995 as part of the Amiga (a computer popular in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s for desktop video) software package, ImageFX. Cinematte was one of the first true digital bluescreening software packages for compositing actors, and other subjects, photographed against a blue (or other compatible solid color) background into another photograph, film or video. While many applications on all platforms attempt to provide methods of realistic compositing, Cinematte is one of the few that can do this easily and realistically using the same methods pioneered in Hollywood features.

Yomgui is proud to present you his first Python version with dynamic modules support.

You can download it as an .LHA archive by this link:

http://www.yomgui.fr/python/arc/python-2.4.2-mos_6a-final-20061010.lha

Important notes:

- All past Blender releases that were compiled with Python generation < 6 will no longer work and may even crash your system. The binaries will be rebuilt with the new SDK and uploaded shortly.

- The distutil module works for simple modules, so you can follow the tutorial inside the official docs to create your own module.

- If there is time, the author will create a tutorial in French about the proper handling of modules with the MorphOS Python version.

- During non-regression tests, there were some tests that generated sone HITs and crashed the oython.library (as "test_richcmp"). Hence, this version may potentially contain some fatal bugs (=crash).

- Please remain the support of the thread module only!
