North Las Vegas - Today, the Cheyenne Technology Corridor welcomed another high tech tenant. Genesi USA, a computer systems company, has agreed to terms with Northport, a Jackson Shaw development in the CTC. The company will move into its facility in January.

Genesi today announced that RJ Mical will assume an evaluation role for Genesi.

RJ Mical was a co-inventor of the Atari Lynx handheld game system and the 3DO entertainment console, and was also head of software engineering at Ericsson Red Jade. Most recently, RJ has been the Chief Architect for the Fathammer mobile game engine and continues today to serve as a Director. RJ will be making a full assessment of the Pegasos and MorphOS and prepare a plan to assist Genesi to move the Pegasos into the world of mobile devices.

RJ will be meeting with Pegasos and MorphOS Developers and Users this coming week in Helsinki. He will be in Finland on Fathammer business.

Itix reimplemented Allan Odgaard's HotkeyString.mcc and compiled PPC native binary for MorphOS users. With this class MUI application developers can add user customizable hotkeys very easily.

Itix's reimplementation added support for following keys:

- PageUp, PageDown, Home, End, Insert
- F11, F12
- PrtScr, Scroll Lock, Pause/Break, NumLock

Quickly ported xDMS 1.3 for MorphOS. With xDMS you can extract the files from the DMS archive or convert DMS archives to ADF/ADZ files.

At the upcoming OASE show in Graz, Austria, Genesi will be represented by their betatester Herbert Klackl. According to Jürgen Schober, the Pegasos I computer with MorphOS will be shown.

Most important part of the update is the relaunch of the pegasosppc.com site which now comes with updated information about the Pegasos II. You can get information about the technical specifications, processors and chipsets of the Pegasos successor.

Issue 16 of our quarterly print magazine, Total Amiga, is now available and should be arriving with subscribers shortly.

Genesi's MorphOS Developer Connection now presents itself in a new and fresh design and reflects Genesi's common website look and cooperate identity.

Also, parts of the site have undergone restructuring. For example, the links-section can now be found as sub-category of the member section (previously "addressbook").

NYCPUG - New York City Pegasos User Group Announces the launch of their website!

This is in conjuction with our First Meeting and Open House where the owners of Genesi, makers of the Pegasos and MorphOS, will be present! This site contains information on this event as well as furthur details and directions.

NYCPUG is a group for Tri State area Pegasos users. We will meet once a month in NYC for our meetings. Our first meeting and Pegasos show will allow future members to get information on the PEGASOS 2 computer and MorphOS 1.4. It will also give all prospective Pegasos owners a chance to meet the people behind the company - Raquel Velasco and Bill Buck. At this show NYCPUG is proud to announce New Hardware and Software Products for Pegasos/MorphOS! Stay tuned and please join us.

A new Pegasos portal based in Sweden at your service is now online.

You will find some information (more to be added gradually) as well as as a forum with discussions around the Pegasos computer.

Available languages at the moment is swedish & english.
