MLdonkey is a multi-platform multi-networks peer-to-peer client. Originally, it was the first open-source client to access the eDonkey network. The protocol was 'reverse-engineered' using an efficient protocol sniffer, Pandora.

Changes in the MorphOS release package:
  • new build 2.6.3 (please checkout 'Read more')
  • tools (ed2k_hash, get_range, make_torrent, etc.) added again
  • new server.ini
  • up-to-date guardian.p2p
  • "MLdonkey" startscript changed to handle mlnet.pid after system crash and different locations of the settings directory
  • updated documentation (... and please RTFM!)

Hello MorphZone users, one and all. Soon, MorphZone will be updating the theme for your portal once again. This means that we would very much like to know a few things about how you use MorphZone as we begin the work to bring this new theme into existance.*

First, as with all polls, you must LogIn, then you can use the poll block as found on the left side of the homepage - or - you can Click Here to go directly to the poll.

We may be posting further polls, but this first poll will answer the question "what screenmode do you view MorphZone with?"

Thanks for your Participation,
Your MorphZone Staff

Due to the overwhelming interest for SVG conversion tools, I've decided to release my port of cairo and related tools...

In addition to the svg2pdf/png/ps tools it also comes with a nifty installer and a batch-conversion utility that will aid you in converting your massive collection of SVGs in one swift go.

After two years of active development, we are proud to announce the immediate availability of the free MorphOS 3D Update pack.
MorphOS enters the Third Dimension!
This pack brings Warp3D and OpenGL(R) API compatibility to a whole new range of hardware including 3dfx Voodoo and ATI Radeon.

TinyGL library is heavily optimized and special care has been taken to improve the OpenGL(R) compliance.

It now offers an extended set of advanced features including cubic mapping, display lists, stencil buffering, multitexturing, mipmapping, palette texture handling, non-blocking rendering (no context locking is required), compiled vertex arrays, user clipping planes, selection buffer, evaluators, a GLUT implementation and much more.

Warp3D libraries have been improved and offer more compatibility than any known implementation on the market.

3D hardware supported on Pegasos2, Pegasos1 and PowerUP machines:
- 3Dfx Avenger (Voodoo 3)
- 3Dfx Napalm
(Voodoo 4 and Voodoo 5)

3D hardware supported on Pegasos2 and Pegasos1 machines:
- ATI rv100 (Radeon 7000 and Radeon VE)
- ATI r100 (Radeon 7200)
- ATI rv200 (Radeon 7500)

3D hardware supported on Pegasos2 machines:
- ATI r200 (Radeon 8500 and Radeon 9100)
- ATI rv250 (Radeon 9000)
- ATI rv280 (Radeon 9200 and Radeon 9250)

The MorphOS 3D Update pack requires MorphOS 1.4.5 and is freely available on our FTP site and download portal.
Please visit http://3d.morphos-team.net/ for additional information.

We hope you will enjoy using this pack as much as we enjoyed creating it.
Keep your graphics processor busy!

Best Regards,
Frank, Mark, Michal and Nicolas.

Five Year Anniversary - MorphOS 1.4.5 Free Edition for PowerUP Available
24th August, 2005 - The MorphOS development team would like to celebrate the five year anniversary of the first ever publically available MorphOS release by announcing the immediate availability of MorphOS 1.4.5 Free Edition for PowerUP accelerators by phase5 & DCE.

Five Year Anniversary - MorphOS 1.4.5 for PowerUP

By releasing the latest end user version of MorphOS for PowerPC-equipped Commodore A1200, A3000 and A4000 computers, the OS is brought back to its origins. Prior to creating versions for the bPlan PEGASOS and various embedded hardware platforms, development started out on the forementioned computers by Commodore Business Machines and resulted in a first beta version to be released in August 2000.

For information about supported hardware configurations, installation instructions and the actual download location, please visit:
http://powerup.morphos-team.net

Please note that the MorphOS Development Team is unable to provide direct end user support for this specific version of MorphOS. If you encounter any problems, please use the PowerUP forum on MorphZone to ask for help and support.
