After all this time I was hoping for MOS 2.0 for the holidays and quite shocked it wasnt released. What is going on ? You would think there would be some kind of real info. Its beyond crazy at this point. How sad, but I guess all the guys who are running this lovely new OS dont care when its released since they run it every day...

well, i have upgraded to the latest mui release and latest ambient nightly release, and i'm again satisfied for some time... the only thing i miss in the actual morphos is the altivec support, would be great to get some addon, that would enable altivec inctructions inside the morphos...

    bye, MarK.

yeah it's always dangerous to set some imaginary deadlines. I understand the frustration.

I suppose neither disappointed swearing nor begging by us users gets the code written which is missing for the release, so I don't really understand the benefits of threads like this...

Well what i would atleast have as xmas present from the MOS Team,
    is a release date.

I know its hard to tell but a guessed released date would be atleast something,
even if it doesnt get ready in time.

I have no idea if we are talking about days, weeks, months or even years.

I myself have the feeling it will take atleast a few months but this
    ofcourse also could be wrong.

I already have my desktop bg and bootlogo ready, just in case.

The release might not be just around the corner, but I bet next year this time the same thread will pop up - about MorphOS 3.0 :-)

I think that you will stuck with your wallpaper and bootlogo only... 8-) 8-) 8-)

P.S.: Really nice though, why don't you upload them for others? Or is it private? :)

MorphOS 2.0 is not yet released. So there's little point in uploading a MorphOS 2.0 background :-)

But feel free to use this one instead:

Yeah, like the episode in which we find out that...

    <cryptic rant>
...the true source of these swirling and completely unnecessary Mohair Storms is an idiot who probably shouldn't be allowed near any computer.

I warned them, but they didn't listen.

Leave the devvies to their work, and be glad you (yes, you!) have a warm mouse to keep you company over the holidays... no one else would want that job.

Gotta give a me to to this, pretty pissed off right now.

For whatever reason, Xmas felt like the right time for the next MOS release...this is exactly why there is no release date I suppose...no expectation = no disappointment right?

Was hoping to at least try 2.0 before I *have* to sell my system (got laid off/redundant just before xmas) :-/

    EDIT: typo corrected :D

I'm disapointed, bored, and tired about waitting all the time.
Chrismas was for me a logical released date, but there's notihng .

I dont turn on my Peg II since one month.
I'll enter on Hibernation about Amiga and Mos world until MOS2 come pout. Wish it will be soon.

    Bye guys.

That is very unfortunate. I am sorry. Good luck finding a new job soon.

I am not disappointed at all. My Peggy is switched off till MOS2/3 will come out and while waiting Im using Windows. No disappointments, no expectations, no waiting for a new release.

To be honest, a bit silly from some people waiting a release during christmas, if you ask me.

OK we can all feel frustrated and bitter like children who didn't have the present they wanted for christmas.
Now it's time to let the feeling pass through us and keep faith in the morphos devs who are still working to make the dream come true.
Enjoy the time being with your loved and loving ones.

What is it that MorphOS 2.0 will let you do that you cannot do with 1.4.5?

MUI 4 is been designed to run better on MorphOS 2.0, or am I wrong?

Anyway, I am not fed up with this anymore. I can do whatever I want with MorphOS 1.4.5, so Golem I will definetely agree with you.

The problem for me, it's not when we "get" MorphOS 2.0, but we don't have any news about the progress. Never we had officially news from the MorphOS-Team. And that's frustrating enough. I don't want a release date, I just want some official news. Is that so hard to achieve?
