    hello all,

i have tried 4 anti-viruses, VirusZ_II v1.45, VirusZ_III v1.00, VirusCherckerII v2.5 and VirusExecutor v2.45, and here are my firsts observations. VirusZ_II v1.45 and VirusZ_III v1.00 work fine together. VirusCheckerII needs bgui.library in libs and VirusChecker.brain in l: first and it loads but if i try a scan nothing happens and it freezes Morphos. VirusExecutor cannot be ran, i obtain the following message "VirusExecutor requires kickstart v37+!".

i first wanted to write this thread on vht forum hosted by bravenet.com there is no action if i click on any gadgets to browse between the differents thread and it is impossible to create a new one. did bravenet.com locked the vht forum ? why ? this would be very bad !

I tried VirusZ III, it worked fine a while but then produced a
hang/crash, so I removed it from WBStartup. Doesn't seem to be as
stable as VirusZ II on my A4000. But it's already very promosing.

I assume that all Virus checkers, only check 68k exes, do any check MOS exes (not that we have any known MOS virii yet)?

68k virus can't really infect MorphOS executables. Hunk format is different (68k hunk format vs. ELF) and ELFs are assumed to contain PPC code anyway.

Virus can still patch system functions with 68k code, install cold capture vectors, infect your favorite 68k binaries etc etc.
