There is an 1.4 changelist on morphos.net.

New features compared to the original WorkBench would be real nice though!

I see now! Apart from what is already planned...

Zooming icons in the panels (AKA MacOSX)

Maybe even Zooming icons in the windows when the mouse is above them.

Will think about it, I'm sure I will have pleeeeenty ideas

what about preview of some mediatypes?
something like deficons would be nice as well.
more options for viewing icons(by name/size/date...).
browsing volumes with just one open window should be made possible.
arexx-port for ambient if that is not already existing.

I want a feature freeze until all that's

But I'd like to see eg the old MUI Iconify to Menu.
Handling of archives as 'drawers'.
Configurable default-tool/icons for 'all' datatypes.
(Something like WhatIs, not looking at the fileextension.)

I agree with Tokai except for the following:

-TCP/IP
-Email

Those are minimums. I don't care if it's a new email application, an old one revamped, or some arexx driven thing behind Voyager. My personal choice would be a "lightweight" MD2.

There is YAM for MOS

YAM is open-source, and cannot be included.

- A formable bar ( that can be maked as a Start menu, between Start menu and dock, and as Amidock style ) or a start menu type bar and a Amidock style bar, i suggest better the first option ;)

- Possibility of change easily the icons of programs, drawers and others, a thing on System Settings or Ambient Settings for the system icons, and for change the programs that can be changed easily in Information...

and to finish I think for CDRW support

Only def-icons (and its option-manager), then will be MorphOS accomplished ;o)

-Viewing drawer contents as text list sortable by name / date / size etc. (Maybe with 32x32 icons on the left side aswell, as scaling is already implemented?)
-arexx-port for Ambient
-Better asl requester
-Radeon 3D drivers

Ambient need most of all these 2 things:

- A sort of Def-icons implemented
- Listers finally ready! Gerber we need them!!!
...Or at least a viewing drawer contents as text list sortable by name / date / size etc. (Maybe with 32x32 icons on the left side aswell)

With these 2 things Ambient will become finally usable!!


Other important things to be implemented in MorphOS/Ambient are:

- Possibility of change easily the icons of programs, drawers and others with a Drag'& Drop in the Information window
- Arexx-port for Ambient
- Better asl requester (Maybe with 32x32 icons on the left side)
- Radeon drivers with Overlay support for 8500/9100
- Radeon 3D drivers
- Complete DVD support (also for encrypted ones)

Well, I'd love to :

- be able to snapshot Panels as Zipped and have an option to have them ALWAYS on top (except when zipped)
- be able to bind EACH AND EVERY single key/key combination of my keyboard to specific OS commands/ARexx scripts/Ambient function and an option to set it as a global or ambient-specific hotkey
- have DefIcons alike support (sic)

I just want to say that Ambient is different than:

- Mplayer/Frogger
- Email client
- TCP-IP stack
- MediaType
- Radeon driver
- Asl

@warface: Remembering asl requester has to be implemented by the application.

So for me I would like to see in Ambient:

-Configurable menu to launch my software
-lister
-built-in ftp/sftp client
...

Of course, I would not complain about 3D zooming (like in MacOS X)
