I paid my Peg1 to peg2G4 upgrade a lot of time ago (In december of 2003) and I don't have news about it.
Bbrv do not answer my emails and I know that vesalia and gssdata have new peg2 in stok. Thats normal???
    What about my peg?

I think that morphzone its not the correct place to say this things but seems that brv doesn't know another language.

I think that 9 months of time its a lot of time for it.

    I need a sollution!

Hi Doraemon, to who did you paid your upgrade ? Assuming it is not to genesi directly I doubt BBRV can do anything for you.
Vesalia propose upgrade so you might contact them and get back your money wherever it is :)

From what BBRV talked about inthe past Genesi was the ONLY place to pay and do an upgrade from my understanding. They never authorized any vendors to accept payment for upgrades. Get your money back and pay Genesi.

Yes it is a Genesi website but AFAIK they don't propose Peg 1/peg2 upgrade on the website and they didn't collect money for upgrade.
So what did you pay to who ?

Doraemon, you will be shipped a Pegasos II G4 this month when we have completed our large outstanding shipment. We ask that you provide your old board to HAM^sfl. HAM^sfl is one of the people that keeps the things going in Spain. He recently did a great job at Euskal. :-)

We recently did with with Ola Jenson and itix too...;-)

    Best regards,
    R&B :-)

you can check out some of his Amiga intros here :-)

and here you may find more intros

His latest intro, Codex Permutatio was third at Euskal 12.

Note that he does everything (gfx, music and code)... impressive

    Hi Serge,
Did you use credit card or check to order your upgrade ?
I know APS preferred to have checks to be able to cash the money only once the upgrade would have been sent to the customers but had to accept credit card payments because some customers wanted so.

    @cdfr

    I payed by check.
My problemfor is not the money.
    My problem is :
I dont know when I'll have my PEG II. Maybe in 1 or 2 years. Maybe
    never :-(

BBRV told to us "people did upgrades by APS" the UpDates will be done
but BBRV dont know when and how. It's very frustrating, specialy when
we know boards were produced and some other upgrades will be honored
    soon.

Hi BatteMan, we thought you said "BYE!" so what are you still doing here?! :-o Actually, we rather you stay, so before you and your friends have another temper-tantrum did you see this:

    Date: September 1, 2004 4:22:33 PM CEST
    To: <morphos@ml.morphos.net>
Subject: Re: [morphos] Re: Wondering about Pegasos upgrade...

Hi Alan, hi Dorothy, hi MorphOS list...

    Yes!

As we have said MANY times there will be an opportunity to upgrade.

    It will cost 200 Euros.

It will require an exchange of the Pegasos I G3 you have for the Pegasos II G4 that we will provide.

The Pegasos II is about to have a significant cost reduction, but this cannot be done until we fulfill our outstanding purchase orders.

We plan to be able to implement the upgrade offer after the Freescale SNDF schedule is complete in Asia.

The only details of SNDF Japan (21 October) and SNDF China (25-26 October) are here:

    http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/homepage.jsp?nodeId=02M0ylfVS0lM0ynypzMP

It is very difficult for us to speak publicly about a price reduction and an upgrade offer when we are selling the Pegasos II as shown here -- -- to corporate customers for $1400!

    http://www.pegasosppc.com/odw.php

The good news is that Freescale and *maybe* IBM too are finally behind the platform. For example, in September, Freescale will be providing 100 ODW to developers that Genesi/bplan has designated and 75 more for pilot projects, including Avalanche that will be featured again here in the September issue:

    http://www-306.ibm.com/chips/products/powerpc/newsletter/

If you missed the first article it is here:

    http://www-1.ibm.com/technology/power/newsletter/august2004/article3.html

Freescale actually bought these machines and then is turning around and giving them away to support the platform. It would be hard to imagine greater support and now you and others may understand why we wait to activate the upgrade opportunity.

By the way, MorphOS is very important to Freescale and it looks like IBM is now also becoming interested. They have ask for an article for the Nov/Dec issues of both newsletters.

BTW, here is a picture of the new Pegasos.

    http://images.genesi.lu/pegasosnew.jpg

The idea is that this complete system will sell for $899 - $999. There will be a wireless PCI card inside and a module to plug into your home TV set, so you can leave it on the "desktop" and still use it for fun on the tele.

    Best regards,
    Raquel and Bill :-)

BBRV : Yes, I said "Bye". But I didn't say bye to MorphZone and Pegasos, but to you and Genesi.
I like this machine and his OS, and I just bought a Pegasos II G4, because you don't respect your promise. It's not a new Pegasos II, Frodon sold it to me. So, I have three Pegasos at home, and you must be happy 'cause your strategy finally works. No upgrade and no money loose for me, and more, I bought a Pegasos II like a lot of my frenchs friends...

So, you see, I do it for my passion of the Pegasos, and not for your incredible talent of sale.

You know all my life, are you happy now ? :-D

Finally, you give a date... So, I'm waiting and I'll see.

BatteMan, sometimes we ask ourselves why we have such patience with people like you...:-) MorphZone is Genesi. The Pegasos is Genesi. Neither, will be successful without customers like you, but there are not enough of "you" yet. If we had continued to honor the upgrade offer when we did as we did, we would have done so at our own peril and there would probably not be a MorphZone or Pegasos today. We have explained this many times. We have done our best to keep our user base satisfied and while we are not sure why there seems to be such a communication problem with you we are grateful that you now have the Pegasos II you have wanted (thanks Bertrand! :-) ). In the meanwhile, we will keep doing what we are trying to do so we still have something to talk about for years to come...:-D

You're patient because a customer is One customer, and you don't have a lot of customers, sadly.

    But, all is cool.
Everybody is happy, I'm happy (for my Peg), you're happy (for your ODW).

The Pegasos is Genesi, but what about MorphOS ?

You'll be successful without me, but without Beta-tester I and II, the Pegasos should be dead today...

Ans don't forget bPlan, they have all in their hands (IP of Pegasos) and MosTeam (IP of MorphOS).

    Bye ;-)
