MorphOS update released!

Available for both Pegasos-I and Pegasos-II, MorphOS 1.4.2 contains several important bugfixes. One may simply download updates, or a new ISO containing updated version. This update is available from the Beta2 FTP. (If you time out trying to connect, try again later!)

Note: If you already have MorphOS 1.4, it is suggested that you simply download the individual bugfix for your system.

Cool! But why not public feature list, or is it somehow "secret"?

Will download that when I get home...

What registration code? You just need to be on beta2 mailing list - you will recive password to ftp serwer, and if you'll have luck, you will download it (only 4 downloads at once are allowed)

You seriously should look at faqs.morphzone.org! You can find out much info there. The beta2 ftp stuff is different from the superduperbundle stuff!

    How about Poseidon?

Is it still necessary to run poseidonromupdate in startup-sequence if I want to use the newest version?

good question. I've looked at my email that my password was sent to access the superbundle and I can't find any other info about this list and how to access it. (And, yes i understand there is supposed to be a difference between the buperbundle files and the files from this beta mailing list. I just can't find a referance to it anywhere.)

also, is this a beta iso? and should i be concerned about using it on a pre-april peg?
there's little point in trying to install something which is still beta. i can't risk anything bad happening to this peg: it's undoubtedly the only one i will ever have.

MorphOS 1.4.2 only fixes some of the problems MorphOS 1.4 had, it doesn't really introduce any new features (and thus unlikely any new bugs either)

    I'd say it's worth installing...

BUT if you already have working MOS1.4 installation, it should be enough, if you upgrade to the newer bootimage... You might also want to install previously released newer Radeon driver, if you haven't done it yet...
