Wayfarer 2.0 may now be downloaded from wayfarer.icu.

The new version is based on a latest stable WebKitGTK branch (about 1 year newer code base than Wayfarer 1.x) and introduces Dark Mode on websites that support it. Several other bugs were addressed in this release, including rendering of checkmarks that were previously invisible on some websites.

Please note that the ICU files included in the archive must be moved to MOSSYS in order to run latest Wayfarer.

    First impression is good. Had a few issues with online banking in 1.x. First quick check seems to have it resolved now. And cpu usage seems to have gone down there, too. But this was a very quick test.

    When I use a lower end machine (Mac mini G4), I just enable "Media Playback" for YouTube, and that's enough for me. But I think YT is changing something and you might require "Media Source Playback" too in some countries already?That enables bigger resolutions etc, although they might get too heavy for your system.

    I noticed that there's a bug in Wayfarer and you can't set these media settings before you have touched to some other setting first... so if that's your problem, try to toggle some other setting and set them then. I've kept spoofing as Wayfarer and that's work fine too... and mobile version of YouTube (m.youtube.com) is much lighter than the desktop version.
