I think this is just a general version update, inline with available code, but it seems stable enough, and I'm always grateful for the hardwork that Fab puts into all that he does for the enjoyment of us all, so big thx to Fab. ;-)

I think these are the new things since the previous release:
    - Updated to r37401, and a recent ffmpeg as well.
    - Adjusted cache module to work with multicast UDP streams.

What that r37401 contains when compared to the previous r37235 should be searched from the official mplayer homepage I guess :)

Anyway, big thanks. This and OWB are the most important software to have on our platform.

Indeed, there are not many visible changes in the morphos specific parts.
The point was mainly to have a current ffmpeg and mplayer base. Actually, mplayer itself doesn't evolve a lot these days (it's more or less dead, in fact), but ffmpeg definitely does.

If that is the fact, how about a VLC Port?

Isn't the important stuff the libavcodec/ffmpeg, and isn't the mplayer merely just a player built around this, and isn't mplayer kind of "complete" for its purpose anyways?
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)
MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

There is also MPV, which is a fork of MPlayer and MPlayer2 and seemingly still in fairly active development.

    Hello!

First: Many thanks again Mr Fab for your good work!

Second: It exists a VLC port for MorphOS: see https://morph.zone/modules/newbb_plus/viewtopic.php?topic_id=5765&forum=9
    naTmeg is the autor...
Here is the 0.9.6f, and on Aminet, you can find the 0.8.6f...

Both versions works quite nicely on the MorphBook... There is quite no GUI, but reading the readme for the keystroks mades it cool...

For now it uses ixemul... There was an idea for making it more MOS-friendly... (reading Fab's on an Amigaimpact thread).

    Amigan salutations.
