I was about to download it to see how it was done, but our internet provider says your domain is unreachable now.

Instead, it suggested this page about the first 3D short film made in Spain, which is called "Morphos", and seems to be shockingly good.

    Hello Magnetic,

No sorry i can't do a pick what programs to install in the installer (it' very complicated: dependencies, assigns, mimetypes, polynet config, etc...)

You can install pack on other partition and pick programms you want with dependencies and assigns if you are an expert ;-)

Otherwise, you can backup your system, install the pack and install your programs and config files on the pack if you are an expert too ;-)

    Sorry

Papiosaur: there is mistake in the script. english.lha has a 27839 bytes and not 27834 which is specified in installation script.

EDIT: The same strory with emulatorsplexi - there is 219041 instead of 219044. I didn't check with the Ice pack. After changing the filesize in the script there is still some error.

hmm for a serious system wide package like this it REALLY needs bugfixes/QA before releasing..

Not a bother, sorry for a late testing but didn't have a chance to take a look into that earlier. And yes - that is the server's compression which made all the confusion ;)

    @Papiosaur,

If you don't already have a several MorphOS users to help you with testing of the Ultimate Pack, I am sure you could get some more volunteers if you would just ask. Most of us don't mind trying it out and reporting any problems we find, but some might see it as a black mark against MorphOS developers if it is released as "Final" when it still has some obvious bugs to be worked out.

This is perhaps more important now, since we have more new MorphOS users that are unfamiliar with their systems. After all, this Ultimate Pack is probably most useful to those new users that do not wish to do all the searching and installing and configuring of all those individual programs on their own, and may not have the skills to do so without running into trouble.

I applaud your efforts and those of the people that have contributed to this project and only offer my opinion as a form of support to make it as successful as it can be.

    @ amigadave

    thanks a lot

about beta you allude to the pack or software?

The Ultimate package was "beta" to get feedback from users on the general use of the pack, many errors have been corrected (thank you to those who have reported to me).

@ all : Feel free to test the package and make returns to improve the package to each version ;-)

    thanks to all participants

Got the installation to work once but now keeps failing.
The error message infers there maybe a connection problem.
    Any ideas?

    Yesterday in the evening,

i have do some changes and corrections:

    - add czech language for installer and readme file (thanks a lot Luky ;-),
    - correction of the link for OWB installer fonts at the startup,

i have tested after and it was okay.

Just tried downloading the file, ultmate.lha pack directly and putting it in place.
    Still no joy.
I will start from scratch again.

    Cheers

P.S. Kept the new ulimate.lha file and just downloaded the new install file.
Seems to be working ok so far.

    Few observations so far -

    WookieChat folder is empty
OWB - maybe include swf_dec plugin?
Windows background path not quite right
SabreMSN couldn't open AmiSSl - it's no longer in the web directory?
Tubexx - possible to set the path for mplayer and mencoder in the config?

Really minor things mostly an easily fixed by the user.
Would be good to have the above for someone new to MorphOS.

The pack is looking really great once installed now.

I'll do some further research over the weekend.

    Cheers
