I'm reading all the post and some ideas are good.
IMHO what could sell Pegasos is to be able with Morphos to do all you can do with a PC or a MAC. Good browers, Mailer, Office compatible suite, media center, TCP IP...
When all those development will be achieve and tested, it will be possible to get some interest from basic users. Don't forget that most of people are using Windows and they won't switch to another platform or OS until they can do all they are doing today.
AFAIK most of pegasos user still use another computer for specific applications.
When all features will be implemented on Mos, the interest will grow by itself :-)

On the other hand old-time Amiga hits can sell a lot...

About the 2nd point: I'm not talking about emulating... If you read correctly, I'm talking about two things:

.Beast (or whatever) based on original graphics and sounds
.NEW Beast using today technology: Radeon/voodoo graphics, maybe 3D ?, Alpha blending, 16bit soundtrack...

    The goal is to:

    .Sell Pegasos/MorphOS
    .Give interest in Pegasos/MorphOS
.Give a reason for people to buy AND (unlike today) use Pegasos/MorphOS
.Take over the World ;) (nah: just kidding ;))

    Leo.

I understand quite well that your didn't ment emulating. I dind't meant that either (just reread my post). It's just that pushing the Pegasos into the retro corner is not too good IMO.
And if you say the Amiga brand won't sell anything, so the Beast will not either...

To conclude my statements: It is for sure that some nice games will have a positive effect to the Pegasos market. But some game would just be another some game...
Even one or two decent jump'n'runs will not bring many customers to the Peg. Really.
There is some more needed. Reread my previous posts. The HW must be available, MOS 1.5 (i.e. an enhanced MOS) must be available and some standard applications (office, net). Everything else is a nice idea but will have no real success.
If the above is done then it's surely nice to put a BeastNG into the Superbundle. But it will not be the major selling point.

Another 3 year old PC port would just be another game...
BeastNG would be "just another game"...

    That's the difference.

    MorphOS need KILLER apps...

I think a beastNG (or whatever) could be one of those.

@Tapero: You can already do on a Mac or on a PC/Linux what you can do on Windows... Does it make people go for Apple or Linux instead of Windows ?

    Hi!
There is a "work in process" of a revival of Ambermoon, called "Amberworld" on sourceforge...
THIS project should be supported from MOS-side, as Ambermoon was/is/will be the best
    role-playing game EVER.....
Anyway waiting for epic-interactive's "Divine divinity".....
    bye

    Hi!
    @leo

What should I wait for? I didn't say it has to be finished today!
Sorry I don't want to be inpolite, but I don't know exactly what you mean...

    @poundsmack

YES, it ROCKS! Bad luck the original verison doesn't work on my CD32....
I'm too tired to boot up my A4000 for playing it....
(OK, a game worth playing, is a game worth waiting, but I prefer
    waiting for Amberworld on Peg)

MUI is very easy to understand! But you must understand how BOOPSI works :-)
    1 + 1 = 3 with very large values of 1

imho, ianap so I can't comment on the programming aspects of MUI

otoh it has extensive configurability for the end user, this I'd say needs a more indexed? user-friendly? maybe q&a, approach to the config screens. Some geeks would call this a "dumb-it-down" approach I guess.

I dont know if new stuff on a new bundle would sell Pegasos. What would sell Pegasos is MORE exposire to it. We need to get to all the major shows. Not just Amiga shows, but ALL electronics and tech shows. The E3 and the linux world shows, Tokyo toy expo ect. That will sell Pegasos.

No, I'm just a big Ambermoon fan and would love to see a portable reimplementation of that game. Maybe someone who has the qualification to help with this project reads about this here. And if not, no harm done.
