Three weeks passed since I did a new release for the Lite XL editor, and now I managed to find some time to write about it. Please have a look at my Amiga related blog and find out all the new features and bug fixes I included in this release.

@ walkero - Yes, thanks a lot for your hard work in implementing this editor, and fixing what you found wasn't as it should be. ;-)

It makes a nice change to find someone else, besides jPV and probably a few others here in the MorphOS realm ;-), creating a program side-by-side with one for OS4.x users and creates the same package for MorphOS, which sadly seems to happen less often than it might, so KUDOS to you! :-D

I am glad you like this editor. Thank you for your kind words.

I couldn't have made it happen if the MorphOS community was not so helpful. More specifically, the encoding features I added in the last release would be possible without Piru's, Jacek's and Beworld's help. And, of course, without you guys using it.

I am preparing a new version as well. So, if you find something not working or the editor crashing, feel free to let me know here.

Today, I released a new version of the Lite XL editor for MorphOS. You can read about it at https://ko-fi.com/post/Lite-XL-2-1-4r1-released-N4N3YHCT4

    Changes:
    - Added the ability to open files and folders by drag 'n drop them on the LiteXL icon when this is on the AmiDock (AmigaOS4) / Panel (MorphOS)
    - Updated the code to the upstream 2.1.4 release
    - Fix opening files from the root of a device

I hope you find it useful.

    Question:
How run Lite XL from shell line to open given file?
    I mean something like this:
    Code:
    Lite-XL <file_path_name>
