Minor issue in 3.17 with folder icons on a NAS.

On my NAS if I go to information for a folder icon, I drag and drop a new icon over the one I want to replace.

It changes the folder icon as normal, but the change will not stay if you select ok.

This only is an issue with folder icons on the NAS, on a local volume it works properly.

Maybe you can raise the DEBUGLEVEL of SmbFS for more feedback.

What if you copy the disk.info to the root folder of the nas (or to the folder directory you have mounted)? That's what I did on my Seagate Central NA at least,,,

For me this works. My NAS is from 2015 with quite old version of Linux and SMBFS (have to dig out the version). Have you tried copying the folder name matching *.info file over to the NAS? Does this behave different? Is it the same for files or does it behave like for directories?
