    I know that feeling. I've been thinking about buying a laptop rather than rebuild my GG5's water coolers.

    Got hold a PowerBook G4 here yesterday and have installed MorphOS on it. Not tested it properly yet, but will do later today I think. :-) Think it will be a good replacement for the Mini. Will be fun to try SWOS!

    I know this is a basic question but how do I get this to work with the roms included within Amiga Forever?

    I've tried renaming them but it doesn't seem to pick up the Rom.key file.

    Oh right, Amiga Forever kickstarts are encrypted and need the key...

    You can edit Real Amiga SWOS Total Pack/res/confs/.uaerc file and add this line there:
    kickstart_key_file=kick/rom.key

    So, have the actual kickstart files renamed as the program requires in the kick dir, but also copy the rom.key there and it should work then with the previous line.

    BTW. I also think that this pack doesn't actually need the .RTB files, so if you don't have them, just click the Continue on the requester that pops up when you start a game.

    We'll have to finetune these things a bit whenever we make an update...

    Thanks for the help on this, really appreciated.

    I've now got it running but I can't get to a match. When I get to the point where you select "Play/Coach Match" I press enter and nothing happens. It doesn't freeze as I can still move around the menus I just can't select "Play/Coach Match". No idea what I am doing wrong.

    You should press fire on the controller at that point, generic keyboard controls don't work for that, because controllers are assigned in this way in SWOS. For example, in two players game who presses the button on his joystick at that point gets the visible team under his control.

    Ok, that makes sense and also brings back from distant memories about playing SWOS back in the 90's.

    Issue seems to be my gamepad then. Does EUAE support the lowlevel library or do I need to set the gamepad up? The USB one I use is find in stuff like Tower57.

    E-UAE works via lowlevel.library, but Tower57 uses sensors.library I think. So you'd need a digital controller that works on lowlevel.library... or alternatively you can configure the pack to use keyboard instead of joystick (edit the .uaerc file joyport(s) as kbd1, kbd2 or so).

    Here's more about setting the controllers:

    Thanks for your help.

    Looking into this further does it make a difference if the controller uses the xbox360 USB driver or the HID USB driver? My controller seems to use the X360 driver, does that mean it won't work with the low level library?
