That's a pity, but it makes 100% sense. Thanks for the reply.

Work has slowed down lately due to me diverting some attention into Iris and working on gamepad support for SDL2. I did manage to finish loading error support, including handling of self-signed certificates and a basic certificate viewer. Looking into implementing file downloading now...

    Great news!
Are your improvements shared with os4 version or it's specific to mos?

Which OS4 version? AFAIK, this new browser is MorphOS-specific (see comment #60).

Jacek is a member of the MorphOS Dev. Team, and this project is NOT an extension of Odyssey, it is a "from the ground up" creation of a new WebKit based browser, which was only made possible due to the recent improvements in the core components of MorphOS itself. Those core components are not present or available for AmigaOS4, so none of Jacek's work could benefit the AmigaOS4 users, even if there were any programmers still working for Hyperion.

Sorry for the jab about Hyperion, but I am one of those AmigaOS4 users as well as a MorphOS user, and I deeply dislike the way Hyperion does business (if that is what you call what they are doing), and the lack of progress and direction that Hyperion has made for AmigaOS4 users, over the past decade. Anyone with a brain can see that the current legal battle was started because of the hostile actions of Hyperion's controlling share holder regarding AmigaOS3 sales, only because he saw an opportunity to make a few quick $$$, not because he has any interest, or intention to further develop the OS for AmigaOS3 users. There were years of peaceful coexistence between Cloanto and Hyperion prior to this current hostile activity all started by Ben Hermans and his attempts to claim ownership of all Amiga IP, as well as registering a Trademark, or Copyright for AmigaForever, which has been used by Cloanto for ages.

Again, sorry for the off-topic rant about Hyperion. This is not the place for such discussions, but if you want to discuss it further with me in private, I would be happy to share my opinion with you.

No, they are not shared. OS4 does not have the required prerequisites.

    Yes, trademark.

That's amazing progress for such a comparatively short time on this project, and thanks for the update

Rebased to latest stable WebKitGTK over the weekend, mainly in order to stay in sync with Void Linux big endian patches. So far so good in terms of websites that I've tested: Re-Captcha, Telegram, WhatsApp all working.

Starting to work on the actual browser application now...

Hope this new browser becomes available soon, as eBay has become inaccessible now, the reCAPTCHA demon has made their site unuseable from a buyer's or seller's perspective as you cannot now sign in with OWB AFAIK. :-(

Yes I deleted cookies, and re-started OWB, but it just won't access the site to sign in, nice to view, no use to have an account for the purposes of OWB currently, unless someone has a way to get around the reCAPTCHA issue? :-?

UPDATE - Good News !! 8-D - Actually you can get through the reCAPTCHA dialogue, if you try to sign/log in using OWB as the browser, it then generates an older version of the reCAPTCHA window with clickable boxes that activate the checkmarks, when they are clicked correctly a text dialogue box opens below and you have to cut/paste the text (which is valid for 2 minutes) from within that window into a blank text window just below that one, and then I clicked on the "If you're having difficulties with the rendering of images on the above verification page, eBay suggests using the latest version of your browser, or an alternate browser listed in  here and once that was done I chose the link to access the sign in page, and it allowed me to, so there's hope still for OWB, but probably not much longer before it doesn't work as effectively as it used to. 8-)

    that's an interesting name :)
is there still room for suggestions? :D

Random Ideas: Webglider, Netflow, Fastflyer, Milkyway, Pathfinder, Lighty, Bounce, MoWeR (MorphOS Web Researcher),
    SeaLight, Firefly

Or maybe to have a connection to IRIS it could be something like: Pupilla, EyeLens, LiteWave (LightWave) or LWB (LightWaveBrowser) <--- that's my favorite :D, Photon/PhotonBrowser

That's looking awesome. I've never named someone else's software before, I'm so excited lol

We left Sarajevo on Tuesday and we move into our new house in The Netherlands next week so I'll have all our stuff shipped over from the storage unit in Manchester soon, including my PowerBook and G5. Hopefully I'll have them unpacked for the next release of MorphOS including Wayfarer. QEMU just doesn't feel the same. :)

    Wow great how it evolves.
Didn`t expect to be so fast at this stage.

For the name, how about Osiris sounds like Iris or what about Polaris because jacadcaps is spending so much time in the polar area!?!
