Could be easy port raine? It seems that uses allegro...

Allegro is ported to AmigaOS/MorphOS? Can be easy ported?

You can use this one thread to suggest ports. No need for several threads with one suggestion in each. That will only make things more difficult to follow.

The only time I heard about Allegro in connection with Amiga, I think it was with an "Elite - The New Kind" port. Uses Allegro too. Don't know it myself, but I recall someone from H&P said back then that Allegro API wouldn't be too multitasking friendly etc. I believe it's something similar to SDL but I don't know.

You maybe should ask the people who wanted to port ETNK and ask them if they implemented already part of the Allegro API...

Which reminds me, remember to create "The Poundsmack port-thread" and bookmark it in your favourites.

Really, it will makes moderators job easier aswell as we will have less threads to watch ;-)

port this, port that. this is almost very useless. i guess you guys didn't tried at least to port the stuff (sometimes it's really just a configure + make ;-) ).

Next time, when you find something interesting in the web then following this steps before you come to morphzone and ask for ports:

"I WANT A PORT OF..." POSTING GUIDELINES
    v1.0 (08.09.2004)

    1. check aminet, morphos-news.de, morph.zone, etc. if such port is maybe available already.

    Yes? Then use it.

No? Then continue with step 2.

    2. Is the port really useful and whould have some practical benefits for MorphOS?

Yes? Then continue with step 3.

    No? Then forget it.

    3. Download the source and try to port it (like i said: often it's just a configure + make).

Success? Try to improve and finishing up the port and release it.

    Failed? Go to Step 4.

    4. Go to #morphos (IRC) and/or mdc.morphos.net and ask for help about the problems you encountered while porting. Most of the times it's just a simple problem which can easily solved with some help.

You found help and problem solved? Case closed, release your port.

None of the pro-developers could help you or showed interest? The go to step 5.

    5. It's very unlikely that your program can be ported to MorphOS or that someone is willing to do the port. The best is to simply forget it and try to find some alternative program for MorphOS/Amiga which can do same/similiar tasks too.

You gave up? Np. It's better that way.

You still think it's useful to have this program on MorphOS? Really? Really really? Yes? Then continue with step 6.

    6. Use morph.zone's searchfunction and try to find out if poundsmack or timofonic already suggested the port.

Yes? post into that tread that you really want that port and even would spend money/bounty for it. Maybe some developer stands up and will try to port it.

No? Then you're allowed to post your request.

    Please follow these guidelines!!!

    Thx.
    tokai.
