    Hi,

I'm searching informations about Fryngpan, because it seems to be a nice burning softeware and Burnit 3 for morphos is not ready.

Does somebody have experiences with Fryngpan? Where can I find it?
Does the DVD option Work on Morphos?

    Thanks

    Serge

Yes, I use it for time to time... I haven't dvd-rw device, but on
Amiga Meeting in Lodz author presented burning DVD. He use my Pegasos
with MorphOS for this. Although I must use Pegasos without april (my
reseller havent exchanged me it :( ), DVD was burning on ide device 3
without any problems! Author tried recompile Program to Morphos native
version, and some plugins he presentation as native. Now he promissed
to do native MorphOS version, when he eliminate bugs.

I couldn't ever get Fryingpan to work, either on MOS or Amiga. Very unstable and just didn't write to disc.

    Hi!
I use FP with LG CDRW 48/24/48 and it works. I have demo version 0.3. In demo version 0.32 and up burn options are disabled.

Please register, and it will be just fine! Error is doing great job with FryingPan. Webpage is under construction and it should be ready till end of this week. Hopefully. A lot of progress has been made since last 'full' release and so author removed the old release and will upload the new one, when it's ready.

btw: where is the free pegasos for FryingPan's author? :-)

    Bye, MarK.

It is a great app, and when the next release comes out i will pay for it. Its not the best CD and DVD writer software for the Amiga or MorphOS I think now. I love it.

Kenny...same here, I won't be registering until I can be sure it runs..and also a better 'test write' indicator....is the interface skinnable because the standard unregistered one it's nearly impossible to tell whether 'test write' is enabled....the point of a GUI is to indicate things clearly and consistently. There are red/green indicators in bottom right so why is the 'test write' indicator monochrome???
(or is this a bug on 16bit screens or voodoo driver...who knows?)

    @All

Works very good for me as well, despite some minor bugs which are being fixed by Error (author's nickname), but the other main problems are bugs (of what I could understand) in MorphOS's CD file system preventing it to read data correctly behond the 4GB limit. There may be some other sync I/O issues when burning an ISO on-the-fly, but I think this last one should be fixed in the MOS native version.

As a registered user, I can say Frying Pan's development is really going good at the moment.

I'd highly suggest that Tomasz receives a free Pegasos to speed it up even more, as actually he's developing FP under WinUAE which, you can guess, is not the ideal developer environment and it's quite slow.

Well...I've read more good opinions than bad ones so far. I wasn't aware that there could be a MOS native version...might be worth registering just to support the effort :-D

Also, OS4 does not need this (Frying Pan) because it has MT Rainier support built in (so I'm told)???

Mount Rainier can only be used with compatible drives..

Moreover, it's only for rewritable media.

if the author is given a pegasos, a MOS version will be out soon... FP is currently developped on winUAE... :-(

    There's a yahoo group for FP : http://groups.yahoo.com/group/fryingpan_amiga
Beta updates (ok, the whole program itself is still at beta stage but anyways) are delivered in the group (you have to set individual mails on, attachments are not stored at the group server).
Also the registration of FryingPan is to change very soon, atm you'll have to wait for a while to be able to register. Plus the website is under update as we speak... Seemed to be today totally offline... Patience is a virtue.

Well, AFAIK, PayPal still doesn't support our countries... But from now, it will be possible to register for a bit bigger price... I guess, it's worth, as it's a DVD burning software :-)

    Bye, MarK.

AFAIK Mount Rainer support DOES NOT WORK in OS4 *yet*

Also, Burn it Pro 3 for MOS is outstanding and should be for sale commercially soon...

BurnIt is the one app I have been waiting for. I will buy it as well as Frying Pan. Both are awsome.

    Hello,

I still can't download the archives. I have tried different browsers,
except Mozilla. I want to try FringPan out, cause I have put a Toshiba
5112 in my Pegasos. With MakeCD it works very well, only in CD-ROM
    mode.
