I've looked at a lot of 'projected' Peggy projects and quite a lot of them have been discontinued due to Genesi not paying the bills. Kinda makes me wonder if I should have waited for my Peg II G4 afterall.

Does anyone know if they're producing the boards again?

    Hi

A production of Pegasos II G4 is planned in about two weeks, so should then be available again.

We are out of stock for the moment, but will then have machines again.

    Gunne

Well, for the moment let's say this:

    1. We are still in business.
    2. Mission critical developers are getting paid.
    3. The developers we need going ahead will be paid.
    4. The developers who are owed money, but are no longer needed given our market approach, will also be paid.

The fact is we need to buy many of the components required for production up front. These components are mounted on PCBs and the mainboards and daughter cards are created. They are then shipped to the USA where they are assembled into cases with memory, graphics cards, etc. We are now delivering these to a growing list of corporate customers. Normally, these companies require 60-90 days for payment. This is the cost of doing business in the real world.

For the moment we feel we have saturated the Amiga market, but we will be produciing more boards again this month (as we did in March, April, May and June) and we may turn the Internet sales on again soon. This time, however, we will make it clear that product ordered will only be available in 2-6 weeks, depending on the timing of the order verses the production cycle.

In the meanwhile, we are just launching the first Pilot Projects. Thanks to people like Gunne and the support team he has built up with the PUGS we will be extending our efforts gradually to meet our increasing commercial demand.

    Sincerely,
    Raquel and Bill

    Hello Raquel & Bill!

Nice slides - but regarding the 'still usability' of Windows applications, I can't imagine you're just thinking of Bochs only, since it would be too limited for those customers. - So what do you have in mind, an x86 PCI card?

Thanks for the clarification BBRV! I continue to have faith that things will fall into order. Just reading a comment on IBM's site makes me feel good.

Some people are still waiting for Pegasos2 G4 so I don't think it is really saturated... or it is only saturated for G3 CPU...

/me is waiting for a Peg2 G4 since lot of months now, but I'm lucky to have a Peg1 anyway.

@bbrv: What are these "Pilot projects" ?
The 15th of July is mentionned several times in the slide show: will we learn more about it at this date ?

    Regards,
    Leo.

Nothing hurts a project more than developers not taking the time to let their community know what is going on.

    @LorD,

I got the last G4 from the first production run in the states. I had to buy an assembled system to get it, but I got it. Glad as heck I did (most of the time :) )
