    Yes, the current available skins are IMHO very ugly, but the new one will be the best :)

    I'm waiting for it...

    Well, the default skins are very confusing, with all the fading texts. Winamp skins are just as nice as always.

    But the new skin rocks, with round edges and all. It has a nice easy to use layout for the buttons too =)

    So now I finally swapped AmigaAMP as my main mp3 player for ANR. Another reason is the lack of random in AmigaAMP. It only has shuffle... (the difference is that "shuffle" just randomizes your list, while "random" keeps the list nice and sorted like you want it, but still plays files randomly).

    AmiGBG was good this year BTW ;)

    hmm.. i think you're doing something wrong then :)

    Euph0ria also uses AmigaAMP plugin interface and works damn well with ANR (even with older versions).

    If you want I could share Euph0ria AMPPlugin init code (which is a nicly optimized compared to default example code). Drop a mail to karibu AT gmx DOT net if required.

    The problem is that ANR is not sending out TrackInfo updates every second like AmigaAMP. I just got one update at the start of each song. XMMS works the same way by updating this info every second. This is necessary due to the rules set by audioscrobbler (data may only be submitted after 50% of the song has been played or 120s to avoid people trying to mess with their stats). In some cases I didn't even get the correct title/artist info from ANR but it worked with AmigaAMP using the same MP3.

    Hmmm, Euph0ria is great (still missing those particles though ;-) ) but noticed something strange. When playing, the display isn't 100% fluent; it's like there are tiny slowdowns every 3/4 secs. because of i/o acces (guess). But the thing is, when raising the priority to +1, it dissapears. The problem doesn't show on AmigaAMP either (well, "problem" is really a too big word for it :-P )

    Like Black_Eagle, a random play function is really important to me, and it's great ANR has one. Still, it could be optimised -> the current random play function has a way of playing a song a second time, after it has played it before (on a 1500+ mp3 playlist). And while i'm at it; I hope the playlist window will be optimised too....eh, what am I talking about; ANR is great, okay? :-D

    Might well be some periodic task with higher priority. I'd suspect ANR audio decoder task :-)

    @dholm:

    actually what you call bug in ANR i have called weird behavior in AmigaAMP. ;-)

    It also does not send out new titledate in fixed intervals.. it seems somehow random.

    By the way.. i still think your plugin could handle the ANR "behavior" too. You always get the titleinfo on start or when you invoke the plugin. Why not store the titleinfo until you need it? It's very simple. Maybe you just need to implement your own timer... that's all.

    @tokai:
    I could do that. But xmms works the same way as AmigaAMP, sending updates every second. It would be more convenient for plugin developers if all lthe players worked the same way. Even if I use a timer I would instead have to implement a workaround for AmigaAMP to detect track changes.

    Anyway, I reported it to the ANR bugtracker and it was marked as fixed iirc. Are you the developer (or one of them)?

    I just submited a nasty bug I encountered. Is ANR still
    under development/supported or is it abandoned? When will there be a
    new release?
    ?

    Patience, my blue friend. :-D

    Regarding the bug, as it hasn't been reported yet I guess it's either fixed already or will be for the next version!

    Come to #AmigaZeux tomorrow to test the latest beta.
