    PolyOrga was just updated.

A big thanks to the Author Fred and Frank from the MorphOS Team for bugfixes and updates in usability.

I hope to do a formal review at some point but, I have used all the CRM like programs on the Amiga (Organizer, OnTheBall, TimeTracker, and others) many on the PC platform (Act!, SalesForce, Telemagic) and I can tell you that this programs strikes a near perfect balance of simplicity and power for most of my needs. It could be used for simple home use to SMB.

I have used it pretty solid for well over a year (Thanks again to Frank by getting me out of a very tight spot and fixing some of the bugs and letting me keep going) and it is really good at this point with Fred enhancing the user interface and experience and general cleaning up.

This entire experience over the last year for this one project, once again shows why this community is the best anywhere in Amiga land. Major kudos to Fred for doing all the right work up front in design to make this such a good product.

Here are some of the benefits:
    1. The only Amiga offering to offers linking, where you can setup relationships between contacts, meetings, and tasks.
    2. Unlimited text and notes fields.
    3. Search that searches everything quickly and will bring you to the item.

The program isn't up on MorphOS Storage yet, so go to the website:

    PolyOrga Website

I recommend you install the buttons pack to make it look really nice:

    PolyOrga Buttons

If you like it make a donation to Fred and Frank for making this happen.

Thx Matt3 for the news !
And of course, thx to Fred for this new version of PolyOrga (and thx Frank too, for the help).

Here, I'm a daily user of PolyOrga since many years (almost 20 !! OMG !) and I'm very happy to see a new version of this wonderful and MorphOS only app !
I love the reminder : I configured it to say "bonjour" on boot when it needs to remember me an action (mostly birthday every year, or another event entered in PolyOrga). I use a lot the task mode too.

PolyOrga is a must have and I hope every MorphOS users use or will use it.

20 years? Wow great statement on how good PolyOrga is. I looked at it years ago but didn't get serious until 1.5 years ago and a need arose. Great experience, it is superfast and very productive.

I changed bonjour years ago to silly stuff from comic characters. I use the Calendar, Events (Meetings), and tasks very heavily with multiple links per item. The way search uses links is really sweet. My interface for PolyOrga uses the button replacements, and tweaked colors. I also run it on my second display @1920X1080, looks really nice and gives me lots of room to work. I keep the main ambient screen for Iris, Wayfarer, Pagestream and other programs. I also run turbocalc on the 2nd display as well as filer/dopus. I get the most productivity this way.

PolyOrga is on a total different level for Amiga Organizers/CRM and is the only multi-relationship program in existance on any Amiga OS Flavor. Not to mention unlimited notes, etc. etc.

It reminds me of Wayfarer, Iris, VDPF, Jukebox, and the OS in general. The user experience for not only the OS but the major apps really illustrates how good the MorphOS ecosystem is right now...

    Very fine.
What I'm missing is a import/export of VCF-files and a general possibility to save/load defined data in ASCII-format.

I tried to write him but his mail host says that the post box does not exist or is broken. Either it does not exist any more and he better update the website or the provider has a broken postbox of him.

You just repeated the address from his web page which is public. As I wrote it reports postbox errors. That should be fixed on the provider site.

I don't know. Providers don't care about individuals when you send them a bug message. But if the response mail from the provider says that the mailbox is broken than it is more likely that case than anything worng with the sender.

I tried the latest version. Don't like these candy toolbar images. They do not fit to MorphOS style. I tried to download the other set from MorphOS storage but it does not list them. Were they deleted? When I search for 'poly' they are not listed. Also the Freepik link does not work but I don't like the images so it's not a big problem.

The web page says 'OpenURL support for Directory'. What does it mean? To open a directory on my hard drive from PolyOrga? I tried with that and it did not work. I entered URLs in different fields and I never saw a link that I can click and open an address (WWW or email or FTP). Only the at sign near a contact for example but not the link itself.

It would be good to see the links easier. Now I always have to open the event to click them.

Pitily PolyOrga still uses NList which looks like in the 90s and has many limitations. It cannot sort up and down, it has a bug with the automated breadth of columns, cannot hide columns, cannot show images or progress bars and many more. NList was not fixed in all these years, so it still works and behaves like back in the past in 1995. So best would be to switch to the lists from MUI 5 that comes with MorphOS. They are system friendly and more powerful. And we could delete the outdated NList classes.

And by the way PolyOrga is an organizer or PIM. It is not a CRM.

No, I used them in 2007. I thought there were other (more) ones. Did not find prettier ones. Or I found some that I like a bit more but they are SVG and Poly cannot show SVG images. FlatPapillon toolbars and icons would be really nice for Poly. In SVG for every screen size.

Thanks, this is good. Would be better to have import and export in PolyOrga in the menus but I don't have to export them every day. So an extra tool is okay. I copied it to the PolyOrga directory. Can contacts also be imported? Oh and does ExportOrga only support VERSION:2.1?

The newer versions of PolyOrga uses Reggae and enhanced the older toolbar graphics.

They look really nice now with the scaling options as well.

Not sure on the SVG and Reggae.

I was using the Mac like icons from the archive, when he started to scale the display. They looked not so good... When he wrote the Reggae rendering calls they scaled beautifully.

That toolbar, to me, fits the look of MorphOS...

As I'm currently fighting through getting every possible icon format displayed.....

Ambient (and soon my PanelApp) uses VGraphics.library for those, not sure if there is a public SDK for that.
