I just wanted to point out to anyone interested that some changes has been made to the official MorphOS site.

http://www.morphos.net - the site that is linked to from the official Genesi websites (and also morphos.org) has changed it's appearance from "the Genesi layout" style, back to the old, original style. This text is also there:

    September-13-2004
Update: "new" website online. More to come.
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)
MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

No information about this..? I am curious.

    Some nice conspiration theories anyone?
May this be a forerunner of the long awaited MOS 1.5 release?
Or did KMOS at least took MOS now?
Or is Laire bought by a company from Redmond?
Were men realy on the moon..?

And I was probably the first one to notice... :-D Well, at least the first one to go public!
Anyway, I start to find it funny... Also MorphOS-News is now looking retro aswell, as already pointed out. There's definitely some plan behind it: who'll be the first one to uncover this mystery?

    Kind regards,
    Andrea

LOL...maybe to remind people how lucky they have been since 2001?

The content has always been available at morphos.org anyway.

Personally I preferred the websites to have a common look but the
content and usefullness of the former .org site is 1000x better, so
    maybe it's a good thing? :-/

All links on that page points to material on the web.archive.org ...

It's nice to see the RC5 stats page remaining untouched!

Maybe this return to 2001 is MorphOS going back to its roots where it started - ie. Amigas, this could mean that MOS is to be made available for PowerUP cards.

Yes, since about half an hour MorphOS-News.de is back to its yesterday's appearance. Seems it's been just a parody on MorphOS.net's 'new' website.

I wonder what it is all about. I would be a bit upset if MOS 1.5 is released after I leave for the Persian Gulf on the 30th!!! That would mean I have to wait 2 1/2 months to get it!!! I still think its just them messing with us though. MorphOS 1.5 is just a myth you know! ;-)

With the experiance of the last 10 years Amiga it looks for me like the MorphOS-Team and Genesi are "divorced" now. As long as they continue developement, it does not matter to me. But it does not look good to me for the future of this hardware platform...

I wouldnt say the hardware platform isnt looking good. The future of
MorphOS has been in wuestion for some time though. We never get news
about updates. I guess we will just have to wait and see if we get a
    news update.
