I see, so does that mean you're porting it to MorphOS? There are other sites better suited for announcements of new OS4 releases.

I looked into it some weeks ago but I decided it was not worth of job to compile SDLUAE yet...
    1 + 1 = 3 with very large values of 1

    hi!
I contacted Richard some days ago, and he'll get my Peg1
as soon I have my Peg2 (Thursday this week :) )...
He already cross-compiled a mos version, which he
wants to send me soon... He doesn't have much free
time, but the MOS-version WILL exist!
(I try to help whereever possible)
    bye

Yes, E-UAE is very interesting, but latest version is some outdated respect WinUAE because it's based on 0.8.25 (21.02.2004), and latest WinUAE version is 0.9.91 (19.08.2004).

I'm doing a much-improved release based on WinUAE 0.8.27 very soon.

Nice, why not based on WinUAE 0.9.91?

Simply because I've not had time yet.

IMHO, the changes in the core emulation were more significant between WinUAE 0.8.25 and 0.8.27 than between 0.8.27 and 0.9.90 (I haven't looked at the 0.9.91 code yet) - and that's what I'm interested in. The big change in WinUAE 0.9.90 was the work done on the GUI.

I'll get there. My main focus with this next release has been bug fixes and improving useability (e.g., clearing up some of the annoying niggles that have been hanging around for ages).

The improvements will be probably be most noticeable on Linux and especially on Mac OS X, but there are plenty of enhancements and bug-fixes for AmigaOS too.

    Cheers,
    Rich

Doesn't really matter which version WinUAE is running at, more important is that the work is continued and UAE for other platforms gets updated frequently. It will never be cought anyway.

It's good that Richard decided to take this matter into his hands and started updating it. Thanks mate!

Of course. But the main issue _NOW_ is that SOMETHING is happening. Let's not be greedy.. good things comes to those who wait. Ask any OS4-pre owner ;)

So true indeed! I look forward to having a good stable port to our system. The only thing I would like to see it do well is run games at A1200 speeds with good sound and joystick support. I dont care about the hard drive or other device support. I have MorphOS for all that, and it works better in most cases. Why run workbench emulated on a Pegasos when you can run MorphOS? Most of the apps that you would want to run under UAE work native in MorphOS.
