Is anybody else having issues with this?
Not sure what's wrong at this point. I have the ULsats2.device in DEVS:
I tried using Scout to find it in devices. It's not seeing it..
I have a G4 Pegasos II system running MorphOS 3.3 with 1G ram, 500W powersupply
120G ide hard dive on the motherboard', a pci USB 2.0 card,
and a pci symbios scsi controller. Both working fine.
I have tested all 3 of the pci connectors.
I have a Promise SATA300 TX2 plus pci controller card plugged in,
which is suppose to be supported and a SATA hard drive connected to this.

Any help would be great, thanks.

What makes me wonder is that the card is not seen by Sout/Expansoins.
If it's not listed there, the card may be broken and can't work with ulsata.
Also try to use pciscan and see if the card is shown...

Once it's seen by the system, you could use the LogTool to debug ulsata...

I'll reinstall and check that. I hadn't thought to look in expansions with Scout, only devices. Wouldn't ULsats2.device show in devices even without a board or drive??

No. The driver does only load if at least one card (even with no devices connected) is found.
First make sure that the card is seen by 'pciscan' and 'Scout/Expansions', then install the driver.

If its not working, try to place the card in a different PCI-slot and clean its contacts with Ethanol.

I have the same problem here. Thi is mi pciscan result:

This card is recognised by PciTool and Scout too but no ulsata2device found and no hard disk displayed. I tried to change pci slot but without results. I tried this card in a Quicksilver and in a MDD. My question is: whi pciscan show "PDC20518/PDC40518" together? Is it this the problem? I checked the card and I saw only the PDC40518 onboard.

    Ok, looks good.

You should be able to mount a device now. (loads the driver)
Create a mountlist or use 'Mounter' and enter 'ulsata2.device' manualy.

Use any tool which loads 'ulsata2.device', eg. 'q-device'

    Use LogTool to catch error-messages.

    Thank you very much.
I have it up and running now as well!
Need to get a better dirve. This one is used and the Pegasos deserves better. At least a TB! ^.^

I've been looking for the following card:

    PDC20718 Promise SATA 300 TX4

But I only seem to be able to find TX4 300 with PDC40718 chipset.
Anyone know where I can get the correct card?

    Thanks.
