Hello everyone,

I have open a new bounty on www.warmup-asso.org destinated to the port of GCC compiler -> 4.8.3 (with C++11 and std :: thread support) on MorphOS.

This will be having new ports and new interesting projects on our platform

A developer for realize this project ? Fab ?

If the project is not realized the money will be injected in a new bounty or refund on request.

This would be nice for LÖVE 0.9.x, and EasyRPG player, and VCMI, and...

IMNSHO GCC4 is a POS compiler that doesn't deserve a bounty.

A far more interesting port would be LLVM+Clang, esp. the latest one that supports global registers (or at least the important ones to MorphOS; r2 and r13), making it capable of compiling MorphOS-specific code without horrible workarounds (I once partially ported LLVM+Clang 3.1, but it was pretty much useless (it compiled stuff just fine, but was very cumbersome to use and generated crappy OS-call code) due to missing global register support).

However, the biggest obstacle to porting current LLVM+Clang is that it requires a compiler with C++11, which might mean this bounty has something going for it, although it might be an even better solution to cross-compile the first port of LLVM+Clang with LLVM+Clang itself (I have had some plans to do this, but I never have the time).

What about the already working GCC 4.7.x compiler, which is used by Fab to compile OWB?

The port of GCC 4.8.3 (C ++ 11 and "std::thread" support) will allow to port "Ring" on MorphOS.

Imho bounty would attract much more donators if it's opened with developer already assigned.
