Million thanks for the new beta. It is faster and more stable than the preivous one. Still got no way to download rapidshare stuff the download would start but it will stick in the 0 bytes... I couldn't download almost nothing with the prev beta of Sput. In the new beta I tried to download a pdf file from a friend's web site and it worked but sitll no way with rapidshare. Any tips?

I will sure make a donaiton for it with the hope that in the future we shall have a full force browser.

Really is there any kind of expantion that I can use to watch youtube videos?

My PC is dead and in general I think that if I manage to have a good native MOS browser and a full supportive software for cd / dvd burning -still got to register frying pan- I will stick to my peg2 as it can handle all the stuff I was doing with the PC.

its fast, it looks good and more more stable!
it crashed only once until now and then i could close its window and start a new sputnik without problem:)

i really like the firefox-type shortcuts and context menus and the speed of the scrolling:)))

one thing: how can i use borderless image buttons in sputnik?

I tried login more times, but it doesn?t work. The previous version of Sputnik worked ok.

Got this last one but LHA (and LZX as well) complains that there is something fishy with its headers both in Linux and Morphos, the archive is the same than the source from where I've got it, I can unpack it but I don't trust when I see errors, anyone else could check his copy of that archive? Thanks.

Is there a possibility in Sputnik to save the username and the password for secure login sites?

E. g. like in IBrowse the Password Manager as otherwise one has to enter them every time.

Has anyone here had the problem that Sputnik works, but text is not rendered? I think I saw some posts about that, but I'm unable to find them.
I had Beta 3 running fine, or so I think, because I only watched the "about" startup page.
I had installed this Beta 3 without running the installation script, because I don't have internet at home, and the script downloads the fonts (I downloaded the fonts, and every other requirement). I carefully interpreted every line of the installation script, and there it was.
So, Beta 3 seemed to work right. But then, I did use the install script for Beta 4 (of course skipping the part that downloads the fonts), and the startup "About" page seems suspectfully empty. Upon loading a local HTML file, I confirm that text is not showing up.
How can I check that MorphOS is really able to use all the fonts it has? The program "TTManager" seems to work only for adding fonts, while Sputnik installation copies fonts and then a database for the truetype library.

Have you tried Snoopium to see what fonts are being searched for ?

This beta 4 has many improvements on beta 3 but I am finding more crashes than beta 3.

For example, a page kept trying to reload the same few images. I don't know if that was a javascript or what.

Anyway, it's definitely more usable, a shame the stability is slightly less. I am sure beta 5 will be even better :)

strange. the stabilty of this version is much much better for me, than the prev. versions. and my system is legendary unstable:)

When I installed beta 3 in my -now sold- Peg1 system the about intro screen was there. But when I installed Beta 3 in my Peg2 I just got a blank page on the sputnik start. Same was on beta 4 as well.

But this is not the big deal. The big deal is that I am totally unable to download any files. I would click on a Downlload link the file would appea rin the active downloads on the bottom but it would remain frozne in 0% and when I am trying to download the file on a different path I would simply not take and dialog box letting me specify the new path. So I am ussing Ibrowse to download files. Ibrowse does not support rapidshare Sput seems to work fine with it but every time that the download time comes.... it is 0.

On the firts seocnds I tried beta 4 I tried to download a file and it worked -I posted here as well- but this wa sprobably the only time... and it was not a rapidshare link. I mainly want to download rpaisdhare stuff but the downlod problem remains with all the stuff I would try to grab from the net and not only rapidshare...
