Hello everybody,

I search persons want to test the futur pack Ultimate for MorphOS.
This pack contains many software, games, wallpapers, news icons pre-installed.
If you are interested you can send me a PM.

IMPORTANT:
It's not an official pack.
Before extract archive on new installation of MorphOS 2.4, think to realise a backup of SYS: partition.
SYS: partition must be large of 800 Mo minimum to install MorphOS 2.4 + pack Ultimate.

Hi, there is my few observations at the moment:

- fonts for OWB should be already included if it's not against fonts licence
- would be nice to add some more Amiga related rss feeds
- I don't really like the fact that it has to be installed over to a fresh installation only. It would be nice to have some kind of installation script which will keep existing settings
- sshcon in default networking apps
- owb is doubled in applications and in web/owb as well
- AmiGG as a one of the program in web applications for communication.

That is all for the beginning :)

EDIT:
- configured mimetypes for installed aps
- integration of uae (ooops, that;s done already)

- fonts for OWB are licenced,
- if you have a AmRSS file configuration, i take
- for installation, it's the best solution i have found: the same for all,
- sshcon in polynet bar ? why not
- new version of owb (1.7) in sys:applications/web, i didn't want overwrite on the old version,
- concerning AmiGG, you want i place it in web or communicate directory ? i don't understand, sorry.

I will try to make AmRSS configuration in few days time with more Amiga related sites
I think keeping the old owb version doesn't make any sense at all.
I meant AmiGG in communicate directory, GG is quite popular protocol in Poland, and we have a quite big community of Polish users ;)

Oh, I've just spotted that MIME integration for UAE has a bad paths to uae, it says:

sys:e-uae/uae -f sys:e-uae/conf/a1200-hires.conf -0 %sp

instead of:

SYS:Applications/emulators/euae etc etc.

EDIT: Please give me your email address via PM, in few days time I will prepare proper config files for eaue configuration.

delete sys:applications/owb all
endif

it's the same problem for showgirls...

- concerning AmiGG, i will add it for polish users

- thank for error in the MIME integration of UAE, i will correct it.

ps: SSHcon is in MorphOS 2.4 or not ? i don't find it...

I have been playing with the pack for about 1.5 hours now. The only problem I found so far is that when I try to run Tubexx, I'm getting the following message in ARexx window:

ARexx reimplementation is not yet finished. If you want to use ARexx,
please install your original rexxsyslib.library...
Ooops, ok I will!

Also, is it possible to center the 'dock' bar at the bottom of the screen - just a suggestion?

To use Arexx in MorphOS you must :

- rename sys:morphos/libs/rexxsyslib.library to rexxsyslib.library_old
- copy rexxsyslib.library of the AmigaOS 3.x in sys:morphos/libs/

If I try to start MLDonkey client in
System:Applications/Network/MLDonkey/

Nothing happens when I click on mlnet icon. I also tried to access the interface via browser, but can't open localhost:4080.
Where can I find a version with GUI i.e. mlgui ?

I just been setting up e-uae, and had a hard time figuring out how to set it up for my personal use.
There also was a reference in som of the readme files, saying that I should look in the docs folder for more information.
The docs folder seems to be missing from the UAE drawer in the pack, so I downloaded several e-uae archives from different places until I found one with the docs included.
For the next release, it could be useful for users if you incluce the docs.

Also I see on this forum that Fab mentiones that quotes are needed for some of the ambient uae scripts ("%sp"). It looks like the scripts in the pack are without quotes.

Finally, some notes to the user could be included in a readme file in the UAE drawer, telling the user what he need to do to get it all working (like the rexx libs that needs to be renamed and replaced)

I noticed a small problem with the file for getting the "Run in UAE" into the menus.
System:Prefs/Ambient/filetypes/internal/x-morphos-globalaction-file
In the last section the words "Command AMIGADOS" is written twice, and prevents the rx command from starting.
Also the heading for that section is written in French, so that even non-french users will get that text in the menu.

I did edit those things for my own part, so now I can get E-UAE started from the menu with the wb.conf setting, but it still doesnt run the program I selected.

yes, I have 1.3 and 3.1 in use.
I have other versions as well, but not in use.
I have E-UAE running in wb mode, and it works from the menu as well "Run in UAE (A1200)", and A500.
Its just the script for starting wb programs from inside UAE that doesnt work. (it just starts WB, but doesnt run the selected program)

I had forgotten to check that uae_rcli was executable.

Now I can lauch single files program, like calculator. But it seems like programs that depends on other files that are in the same directory will not start.
Example, I try to run Prince of persia. This is a jst game. The icon tooltype is c:jst, so it looks like it can find jst ok. But then an error pops up, that it cant find file "prince.d1". This file is in the same drawer as the Prince program, but it looks like the program forgets its location (progdir) when started from MorphOS menu.

Maybe it will work if I make a start-script for the programs I want to be able to run like this, so it will change directory before lauching the program. I will try that later.
