I own an upgraded Mac PPC Cube that I wouldn't mind running MOS 3.0 on it. That said, if I find a good price for a Mac Mini G4... I might get it.

Last iBook has Radeon 9550 while all PPC MacMinis have Radeon 9200.

I've got a 1.42/512mb/80GB mac Mini. I dunno if I will use it for MorphOS,(or in reading between the lines OS4.1?) as I quite like MacOSX, slow sluggish, but does everything I want, and err.. I hate to say this, everything just works. It also only got 32mg of Video ram, and my experience of Amiga OS4.1 transparancy etc on the ?A1 suggest thats a quite horribly small amount of video ram for 3d effects on muliple screens.

I've also got a G3 iBook, I'd love to put MorphOS on that mind, if I can borrow it back off my mum anyway! How embrassing!

Simply go for dual boot then :-)

You should really update your Mac mini to 1 GByte RAM, it makes quite a difference in OSX. On my mini Leopard runs quite good, i like the workflow even on this low-end (for OSX) machine.
It's just a pity that MorphOS won't support all features of the mini, like Wlan, Bluetooth, Firewire (maybe Helios is supporting the mini fw port in the near future?). And the Superdrive is the best argument for finally releasing Burnit 3 :-)

Are you sure a PB MorphOS will be released ? I hope so also, but there is nothing official at this moment and pega-1 said this...

If some MorphOS Team people managed to run it on a powerbook, it doesn't imply that it's in anyone's focus now to get it released. So if anyone buys a powerbook instead of a mini to run MorphOS, he better has some other use for it as well ....

Finally got one mini 1.42GHz ... now waiting for MOS :-)

Not all mini with 1,5GHz has 64MB VRAM. A lot of them sold on ebay are just overclocked 1.25-1.42 with standard 32MB VRAM.

A lot? Strange, as I have yet to come across an overclocked one. Watching eBay Germany closely, I only noticed real 1.5 GHz ones (and other clock rates, of course).

hmmmm so almost a 100 post thread of mostly users saying what mac mini they have.. oh joy...

once again no real info of any kind about the mac mini version:

features, speed, release approximate dates etc..

nothing has changed for marketing of morphos it seems. how many years does it take to learn this?

I'm not the one that needs to "learn" here....

if you mean i'm learning that these comments are falling on deaf ears i've learned that.

i guess its just "hope for change" that keeps me saying it.

Do tell, what kind of real info would you like to see? You know they wont commit to a release date until it is actually ready. Still they have shown it in action, more than a few bits and pieces of info have slipped out, the port is mentioned on the official website. Updates have been fairly regular since 2.0, with plenty of new features in each release. And if you really want a release date, rumours are quite easy to start, one silly comment and suddenly a date has been leaked :)

I also think that the dev team should and could give, occasionally, a little more updates on what's going on in the MorphOS world. We love to hope and dream on the future development of our little but nice platform...

We are still here after all this time of amiga/morphos steady waiting and I think we deserve some trustfulness and credit... :-)

IMHO, currently the need for secrecy and hush is no more necessary and helpful.

Surely if something said don't materialize we won't bother the Team as we know the general difficult status of the platform.

You mean there is actually a thread that is mostly "ON Topic" in the forums! LOL :-)

I am actually surprised with the amount of information and video clips of MorphOS3.0 running on a MacMini that has already been released, or leaked.

It is smart of the dev team to stay quiet until they are ready to release the first version for MacMini's. It will no doubt still need more work and in no way be complete when first released, but I am sure the dev team has certain goals they wish to have complete before they start charging license fees and getting roasted by some users inside and outside of this tiny community.

The MorphOS team competes with the AmigaOS4.x team and there is a good chance that the AOS4.x team may be working on their own MacMini release, so it could possibly be a bad step for the MorphOS team to release their MacMini release prematurely.

I have no problem waiting quietly, but hope that we will be able to run MorphOS on our Mini's before the end of this year, before June would be even better???

    Publish it before our pension.

Bring it on, and let US to find any bug... we do it for free as you know.
