I guess you did the right thing.

Peg2's are maximum attractive, especially because of the OS4.1 available now.
    (Which I also bought ;-)

Remembering how long it took for MorphOS to support Gigabit on the PEG2 or Efika, I would recommend to buy a machine which can use the SW now, and not in some distant future.

If I can buy MorphOS, running on some Laptop, I'll get this laptop. But I'm not going to buy some laptop because some rumour is telling me, MorphOS might run on it in some years, maybe not.

Well, what the Peg2 lacks in raw CPU power, it gains in expandability and configuration options. So it boils down to what's most important to you and your daily MorphOS use - flexibility or CPU power.

Actually, the Peg2 Gigabit support in MorphOS didn't take particularly long at all. However, it was only released with MorphOS 2 years later...

    I think that's a good recommendation! :-)
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)

Just bought a MacMini on ebay :-)

MorphOS will come when it comes - but hopefully soon.

Until then it is OSX and Ubuntu PPC.

Did you get the 1.5GHz G4 w/64mb VRAM?

How well does Ubuntu PPC run on it? I have a HP Compaq NX5000 that runs only Ubuntu for my Son to do home work and email with and keep him away from his Windows PC games. He has not tried to find and install any Linux games (yet). I sometimes use it to watch DVD movies with gxine.

Lastly, what do you run under Ubuntu PPC on your MacMini that you don't have/can't get and use under MacOSX?

No it is a 1.42ghz version with 1GB, bluetooth and wireless and a external firewire HD.

I havn't recieved it yet so I can't really say more than that. :-)

The main reason for putting Ubuntu on it is that I use Ubuntu on my PC and I am a bit curious to see how well it runs on a PPC machine.

I will post my experiences when I get Ubuntu running.

I just bought a MacMini 1.5MHz with 1GB mem and Bluetooth/Airport Extreme card. Should get it in a couple of days. Sold my Pegasos 2 a couple of months ago, I hope to use MorphOS again in the very near future.

Until MorphOS get's released for the MacMini I'll dump OSX and install Debian Unstable on it.

Even if this is only 5 percent of the eventual license buyers, unless the team plans on selling MOS3.0 at several thousand euros for each license, anyone (like some that have posted elsewhere) who thinks the MorphOS team is making a lot of money by doing their developing on MOS is delusional.

As already pointed out, the G4 Mini maxes at 1GB RAM. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mac_Mini#Mac_mini_G4

Added one more, feel free to add yourself and update this list. There are also 2 - 4 members who mentioned they have purchased other models of PPC Macs hoping to get MorphOS3 to run on them. You can add yourselves to the list, but please also indicate which model Mac you have that you are hoping to get MorphOS3 running on if it is not a Mini.

I'd like to see it on a PowerMac (I have a Digital Audio) or eMac, but you can mark me on the mini front, I use mine currently as a DVD player / streaming media client.
